    • Teleporting NCB problem

The Nxxx NCB is placing my ship in the middle of the system I'm being teleported into.

The way I'm using the Nxxx NCB is thus: I created a mission that shows up in the main spaceport 100% of the time, at a specific planet. The planet's coordinates is (100, -100). On accept, the NCB N203 is called, which teleports the player to a new system. In the new system, there's a spob at coordinate (100, -100). Hence if the teleportation is coordinate-preserving, then I should pop out right on top of that spob.

Current trials have placed me in the middle (as far as I can tell) of the system, as opposed to on top of the spob.

Can someone check to see whether it's a universal problem with the Nova engine, or is it specific to playing Nova in the BasiliskII emulator?

      Thanks a lot,

      EVN Resource Bible:
Nxxx - move the player to system xxx. The player will remain at the same x/y coordinates, relative to the center of the system.

This is strange. I always thought the Nxxx bit moved you to the center of the system.

Try using the Mxxx bit instead.

Mxxx - move the player to system xxx. The player will be put on top of the first stellar in the system, or in the center of the system if no stellars exist there.

Mxxx bit works as documented, ie, it moves the ship to the first spob in the system, if it's at least one spob. However, for the same system, I sometimes want the ship to be on the first spob, and sometimes the second spob. So I really need the coordinate-preserving NCB.

Has anyone verified whether the Nxxx NCB preserves ship coordinates on an authentic Mac running EVN 1.0.3?
