Hey people!

Hopefully the people that post in the image gallery also read this board! My request/challenge is this: I'm starting a new plug-in, and I'd like to have one new Federation ship for it. This, then, is the challenge: to make a ship in the style of the Federation (w/ target, shipyard, and shipyard scene) that will fit right in in the Nova world. I know people out there can do Nova style ships (the cascade scene legion posted and the fed griffon come to mind), and even if this plug doesn't get finished (though I plan for it to - I'm starting small) think of it as an opportunity to show off your modelling skills.

As far as what kind of ship/what it should look like/etc, that's completely up to the person making it. Fighter, gunboat, cap ship, remod of an existing Nova ship - let your imagination go wild. If you've been looking for a project to model,and are out of ideas, try this one!

Post here or in the gallery with pics of whatever you make. Go get those creative juices flowing!

Thanks Ishmoo ;). A (Fed) ship design contest sounds like a great idea, it'll be intresting to see what people come up with. As for my griffon, Ive posted a shipyard pic of hit (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/woowat/.Pictures/griffon_shipyard.jpg")here(/url), enjoy.

That sounds like fun, only the problem is that EVN is out of my league. But I am good in trying to EVO style ships. Well, this will be interesting to see what kind of designs come out.

If I was to do a Fed vessel, it would be a Fed Cobra, a type of fighter.

I figured as it's only one ship, and since most of the graphics people like to show off their work anyway, I had a good chance of getting something. Meanwhile, I'm coding missions (NovaTools is soooo much nicer than the basic ResEdit I used for EV coding) and testing stuff out.
