    • Fighter Bays in EV/N


      I used the search function, but did not find what I was looking for. In any case, my question is this... What do I need to do so that fighter bays will work in my cheat plugins? I am making simple little cheat plugins to gain experience and then move to larger projects. But every time I try to start a character with a ship with bays, I can see the bay, but no fighters. I have the weapons resource and outfits resource in the ship file, but neither seem to work for me. What am I doing wrong?

    • I oculd be wrong but you might have to buy the fighters seperately.

    • Then how does the game provide you with ships that come with escort pre-loaded?

    • I haven't done a lot of mission work in Nova but couldn't you have a mission active when the player starts that when the first time he lands it gives him the right number of fighters?

    • It's the ammo. If you think of it like EV (since I haven't really used NovaTools), you have three fields. First is the weapon field where you tell it which weapon to use (in this case a fighter bay). Next you have the number of weapons. Thirdly, you have the amount of ammo that it has. Type in however many fighters you want the player to have into this field.
