Since I didnt want to go around posting too many new topics I thought I put both my questions into this one.
Firstly, in a plug in mission im creating, you get an escort from a ship, which by the text description clearly states the pilot as female. I know you can designate race, Polaris/Fed, whatever, I just need to know if i can inhibit the escort from using a male voice.
Secondly, Im thinking of creating a weapon where you launch it, and 6 or so projectiles spray out the forward of the ship similtaneously, lay dormant for a few seconds, then 'fire', and become charged particles which accelerate towards the enemy. (just trying to create a cool looking weapon basically).I know someone mentioned you could have multi stage rockets, but I dont know if they could be adapted to suit this, firstly they would need to change from a forward gun(with high inacuracy to obviusly give the 'spread' launch), to a guided weapon. Secondly, Id like another sound to play as they blast from their idle states in space. (the only way I can figure of gettin round this one is to have the sound play when they are first launched, then have a gap in the sound, then have anoter play, perfectly timed so that it matchesthe secondary stage of the weapon.
