Coldstone is indeed required to make plug-ins with PoG. There is a (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=coldstone&category;=essentials&display;=date&file;=coldstone_demo.sit")demo(/url) available that is free and useable for 30 days. The only restrictions on the demo are the time limit, and you are limited to 30 or so events. The event limit is annoying, but for a small plug-in should be sufficient.
