    • New plug, need suggestions


      I am planning to (maybe) make a new plug concerning the rise of the race on the planet north of Saalia, the one that is inhabited by a primitive intellegent species, and possible the race in the south tip. Any ideas for how it should begin? I had a few, deride or complement them depending on your opinion-
      -You fly into the system to make contact with their first manned space flight
      -After a certain point in the game, a civilization advanced enough to contact you does if you land on the planet (not sure how I'd work
      that)
      -Voinians move to take over and...
      ...The UE moves to protect them
      ...The Miranu have just opened trading negotiations with them and protect them, being drawn into the voinian war
      ...They are tied up with the strands or the council for some obscure reason and a crescent-voinian war begins, possibly with some race
      (humans?) ending up opposing both sides
      ...They are incredible fighters, and within very little time have back engineered voinian technology and liberated their system
      -Some ancient hugely advanced race awakens from hibernation under the planet's crust, allies with the natives, and sets out to take it's
      place in the galaxy once again (ooh... dramatic), giving an excuse for lots of new ways for ships to work, etc.

      I know a lot of these suck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    • Sounds like you will need a LOT of mission bits. This is a really cool idea, I thought about this a few times. I think a good idea would be to.. um.. have colonization missions, and then.. I think like a lot of 'trade route establishment' and stuff. More money. Mwah. Hah.

      I like those all except the last one- it's too unrealistic.

      The Disco Bison comes with the SOL, both firing Forklifts.

      Then again... 😛

      But, a plug isn't good if there aren't any missions to go with the weapons. So, have like the UE develop a cool weapon to defend the new race, or the new race develop it. New ships and other junk isn't bad, either...

    • Hey you remember me. I would say you got some great ideas and I'm willing to help you. First give this race a cool, realistic name and name the planet that. Next make sure that no ships are ever in this system for starts. I advise that you leave the UE and the Voinians out of this and go either to have this race ally with the Miranu, Emalghia, or strand, but not one of the three major ones. Also make sure this has a slow start because it is a race arriving into a turbulent galaxy for the first time so make them timid to start. They should have some troubles cause this is totally new to them and hard. I suggest we start from here and as we go lets decide how we want it to continue, okay? Best of luck and remember I'm going to help you with this one okay.

      Something simple yet catchy and innocent. How do you want this race to act. Peacefully and open to change and friends or like evil voinian like wanna bes give me some more info on them first. Here are just some random names. Last to funny palendromes.

      I was thinking more along the lines of innocent... but maybe I'll make some new "voinian wannabes" elsewhere, in the southern crescent maybe. Fytinians has a nice sound to it. Any more suggestions on names, how it should start, or the general plotline would be appreciated.

      Oh don't start them like Voinians, give'em there own ideas and culture like none others in the galaxy! Fytinians sounds good eh? You sure I have more names and others do too. You should start the plot so that it smoothly fits in probably from the Miranu missions. For example lets say that you've done the miranu missions and are on good terms with them, now one of there major Freighter's in a Fleet has a malfunctioned and has decided to land on this planet until more help arrives. So the fleet lands and already knowing about these people doesn't really care, but.... How's that for a start?
