    • Sprite Size and Unknown File type in RE

I'm having some pretty stupid troubles with ResEdit again. My problems are:
      (1) Plug-Checker found this:
154 'Viper' - Sprite 'size' value is not equal to linked PCIT resource. (Spin 154)

      (2) ResEdit won't let me out of the Spin editor. I didn't change anything, yet it comes up as: "Unknown field type found" What does that mean? I even tried deleting the Spin resource, but it came and said the same thing. The last time this happened, I had to get rid of my saved work. I don't want that to happen again!

How can I get rid of the resource or fix it.

That generally means exactly what it says: the numbers entered in the fields of the "spďn" resource are not the correct dimensions for the "PICT" resource that the "spďn" is pointing to.

This one is tough. I have seen it a few times. As i recall, I had to force-quit resEdit, then restart the computer. Try that and check the resource again. If you still get the error, repeat the procedure, but do not open the spin editor, just open the spin resource file and delete the one that was giving you trouble. You might also need to delete your resEdit preferences file from the system folder, just be sure you have a backup copy of the EV ResEdit templates templates before you trash your prefs.

    • I found a better way to save your work, yet not force wuit. Do this:
Just copy the resource that you want saved that you worked on, then put it in a new ResEdit file. This works unless the "weired out" file is the one you edited. Cool, eh?

And Okay, I will trash the Prefs. I have to do that with my game, The Sims: House Party a lot.
