    • Outlaw Star Plug Team


      Working on getting a team together to do a challenging plug-in, Outlaw Star added into the EVO system. I've had an offer from Platypus to do the missions and I have a scratch plug with the basics of the new files added in. Currently looking for people who can do spins and/or are good at creating new weapons as the biggest challenge will be creating the Grappler Arm combat. For those of you unfamiliar with Outlaw Star (by the way, knowledge of the series isn't of utmost importance) Grappler Arms are fixed manipulators on ships that can cause ramming damage, or can be associated with a Grappler Gun to do range damage. They're extended only during combat, retracted during normal flight or hyperjump, so they would need their own sprites to appear when Grappler Arms is selected as a second weapon. Also, I've never seen a fixed ram weapon in EVO, so that would be a new challenge, although I'm sure if the distance and life attributes are set right it would be a snap.       I'm working on 2 different plugs at once already... :frown:
