Does anyone know about any good, non-buggy (which excludes EV-Edit) outfit/weapon editor? I'm having to use EV Edit right now, and it's a pain.

    • I have ResEdit, but it's still not very easy to use...
I can easily calculate what resources to modify, but I don't know how to modify them. Know what I mean?

Do you have the templates installed? When opened with ResEdit, they're the TMPL resource. If you don't have the templates, look in the EVO 1.0.2 "Plugin Developers" folder, and you'll see a file called "templates.rsc" or something like that. Open it with ResEdit and copy its TMPL resource (Edit menu) to a blank plugin (there's one in the the Plugins folder). If, for some reason, you don't have EVO 1.0.2, upgrade!

If you're having trouble calculating the resource numbers for the Dëscs and such, get EVO Formula Calc (in the EVO Addons section, I think).

      Hope this helps

    • I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!

I was going to post the same type thing. I'm fed up with so many bugs in the stellar editing area! I mean how friggin hard is it to make something that connects and disconnects dots on a map!!! Let's all work to find (or even go as far as make) a better editor, eh?

    • EV/EVO Developer's Map is without question the BEST program for doing systems and spobs in their respective games! I strongly suggest you download it if you haven't already fone so. Get it at (url="http://"http://members01.chello.se/warlordpontus/ev/")http://members01.che...rlordpontus/ev/(/url) I used to do systs with ResEdit, and now I wonder how I could have possibly survived without this lovely program. It's just awesome! 😄 😄 😄 I use ResEdit with EVOBAE and Annotated ResEdit templates for everything besides systs and spobs. It's actually pretty good once you get the hang of it. Anyway, Shayborg, I'd use ResEdit. Free and powerful.

I agree wholeheartedly about EVO Developer's Map. And ResEdit seems to be the overwhelming opinion...thanks all.

    • If you don't know what editor to use, do make plugs.
If you want to make a better editor, go ahead and learn C++ and C and go get CodeWarrior 6.

Do you mean "don't"? Or are you just talking to yourself?
