I have, for a some time now, wanted to make some "royalty-free" music for the internet. Music that people can use for non-profit purposes and listen to for free - all they have to do is write that is is composed by Frederik Magle (that's me) in the credit list.

The EV/EVO community seems like the perfect place to start.
So here it is: my first "freeware" piece of music - Captain Apple's March.

I think this music would do well as intro music.

And you may use it freely as long as you use it for non-profit purposes and remember to give credit to me. Also please send me a mail, if you decide to use the music.

You may NOT alter the music in any way other than shortening it and/or re-compressing it to a different format other than mp3. So you may not add anything to the music. (I'm sorry that I have to write all these things about what you may not do, but unfortunately I have to)

Wow! Could you be convinced to do music intended solely for specific plug-ins, or do you intend to leave everything as freely available to all?

Well, I could perhaps make some music for a specific TC plug, but the plug-in would have to be very serious and completed or near-complete. I have heard of too many plug-in projects that was never completed, and just fell apart.

Also, I would have to do this in my spare-time (instead of playing EVO :)), since I actually work as a full-time composer. (frightening, isn't it? I use my spare-time to...continue working with music! scary :D).

I'm sorry if I have given the impression that the music in my sig is freeware like the Captain Apples March. Currently the C.A.March is the only free piece. I just included the extra music in my sig to give a better impression of my music style.

However, if you are really interested in using some of my other music, then send me a mail and tell me which of my music you would like to use and in which way. And I can give you an exclusive permission to use the music. No problem.
