if you can make it there at level 0 (it can be done) you finish the puzzle and tada, your level 7 
I think its like 3000 xp.
and then you have access to the mage that lives in the tower and he will sell you some neat weapons, all of which you cant afford if you get there at level 0, BUT, you can buy a gate stone for only 50 gold and warp there later when your ready.
