Ah, but you just said that you were Micah L. just posts before. This disproves your statement.

I never really finished EVO. I mean, all the strings. I left quite a few unfinished, particularly along the crescent. I sorta got sucked into some plug-ins, and EVO just had so much stuff to do.
I... I just had to get that off my chest.

**Blasphemy!
Actually, while we're confessing our sins, I've got a small one I've been keeping inside for quite some time: I've never come anywhere even remotely close to finishing EV: Nova. I loved the graphics, the back story and the scenario, but the missions never interested me or caught my attention to any degree anywhere near to EV or EVO.
Phew. I do feel better.
I think I'm the inverse of mrxak though: I can truthfully say I have completed all of EVO's objectives many, many times over. Too many times, in fact, one might suggest, to be considered healthy.

Just to add to the moderator history here...
When the AmbrosiaSW boards were set up, the four EVula mentioned were set up as moderators of the EV and EVO boards, while the EV Developer's Corner was offered to myself and Blackhole as we ran an independent Developer's Board at the time. Soon after, Bomb and Micah L were added as another two moderators, bringing the total to 4 on each of the boards (with Micah L moderating all 3).
Eventually, Micah L stopped coming to the boards at all, but it took a LONG time for him to be replaced. I was the first to triumph against his constant presence, when I got him replaced on the Developer's Corner with the esteemed mrxak. However, he persisted in his featureless presence on the EV/EVO boards until really quite recently, when he was finally replaced with mrxak on the EV board and Bomb on this board. I took up the fourth spot on both of those boards at the same time.

Hey, same here. I've been slowly working through them though. Now all that's left is Rebel and Bounty Hunter. Unless you count all the variations and other stuff. Been through EVO plenty of times too

You're not the only one; I never finished the renegade missions. For some reason, I never felt compelled to attack the Zachit, even if there were missions to do it. I'm pretty sure I finished every other objective several times over, though...

I assume this means you've never flown a Voinian Cruiser in the Crescent... its armor gives it awesome survival time under heavy fire (think: the Council Station defense fleet) rivalled only by the Dreadnought (capturable in UE string,) the Enhanced Arada (capturable in Azdgari string,) and the Azdara.
Of those, the Dreadnought loses its stock weapons on landing, and has very little weapons space (though it does make an excellent escort,) and the Azdara has almost no room for expansion once you give it the Dospect armor needed to survive heavy fire. The Enhanced Arada is the best ship in the game, but it still doesn't have the space or weapons slots of the Voinian Cruiser.
Not only is the cruiser all but impervious to phase fire, but with its six turret slots it can pump out endless damage at a rate faster than any other ship in the game (except the Dreadnought when used as an escort.) Sure, it's slow, but what do you need speed for when you can survive anything and kill anything? Give it the three mobility upgrades, and if that's not enough do the Azdgari string and make it that much nimbler. But why bother? That's space better spent on more weaponry.
Of course, if you're fighting humans, voinians, or emalgha you'll take damage significantly faster, but you'll still have good survivability and great damage output. Against anything in the Crescent, though, the Voinian Cruiser is impregnable.
So that's one good Voinian ship.
Now consider the Voinian Heavy Fighter. In particular, compare it to the Shuttle. Look at how much free space it has when you sell its rockets and replace its Neutron Cannons with something lighter. This is a great little ship to capture right off the bat, especially when you're going into the crescent where armor trumps shielding.
I remember the first time I took on the Dreadnought..... I had know idea that Phase cannons did hardly anything to armor- How shocked I was by the difference when I went in with neutrons!

In fact, if I remember rightly, a stripped-out Voinian Heavy Fighter has enough space to mount a Voinian heavy figher bay... equipped with four Voinian heavy fighters.
My head hurts.
