greetings. i'm currently working on a tc and i'd like to have as many people as possible in it, to add to the feeling of a populated galaxy. so anyone who wants a përs in the first steps from earth, post or email all the stuff for a përs resource:

ai type (wimpy trader, brave trader, warship)
agression (1-3)
what shield% at which to run away
ship type
weapon loadout modifications (reasonable, please) (i.e. standard +- these, up to 4)
credits
shield modifier (again, reasonable)
comm quote
hail quote
holds a grudge?
uses escape pod/afterburner?
only show hail quote when person (likes/hates/attacks) player?
only show hail quote when person is disabled?
show disaster info when hailing?

for info on the governments, ships, and weapons, download the (url="http://"http://www.zianet.com/mortal179/C1Tech.bin")tech manual(/url) (276k). if you don't want to download it, the governments are: us (like the feds or ue), ttd (like the rebs), pirates, and kl'naar (aliens allied w/ the pirates). each has a range of fighters and warships, and all but the pirates have civilian ships, so if you just give a government and a ship class, you'll probably have something fitting. hopefully i'll get the plug finished soon, but there's probably quite a bit of time between now and its release

only show hail quote when... means it'll only put up the hail quote at the bottom of the screen under those conditions. i.e. only show hail quote when person hates player means it'll only do the hail quote if the person has a grudge against the player
show disaster info when hailing means it'll give reports about price changes (i.e. "last time i was on earth, the price of food was high")

Oh, and "disaster report when hailing" means weell... i'll give you an example, say someone hails your ai the ship when hailed will give disaster reports on wolds, i think. Like there's a HUGE VIRUS on BLA BLA BLA.

the list of ships is (url="http://"http://www.zianet.com/mortal179/c1ships.txt")here(/url). the list of weaps is (url="http://"http://www.zianet.com/mortal179/c1weaps.txt")here(/url). both are text files, so they should show up on your browser. they're nowhere near as complete as the tech manual, but they give at least a basic idea

that'd be great, but it'll be a little while. i still need to a lot of missions, i just put this here now to give it some time to grow. i'll let you know when i finish the missions, though (a few weeks? a month or two? who knows)
