For the love of god, haven't any of you ever heard of artistic liscense? I find it hard to believe that the artist who made the image spent a lot of time making sure the number of fins was just right, and that everything looked as much like the sprites as possible. My guess was the person had played the game, but was not hung up on making sure everything was exactly the same. Also, the image did have to be constructed before the game shipped. In light of all this, I strongly feel there will never be a definite answer to this question. For god knows what reason, some people will think it's a voinian ship, some a crescent. In my humble opinion, it's a ue-human renegade battle, and that's all I need to know.

As Alien kind of pointed out, keep in mind that the ships for this screen were done by a different artist than the ones in the actual game. However, I'm fairly certian about this:

If not that, then 4 and 5 are "Crecent Warship" and "Crecent Fighter".

You know what, I could see that as being an Arada, althought it looks a little big, guess it might be perspective. Those fighters still look strange to me.

1. The ship on the left is a Voinian frigate. The lighting from the sun makes it
look brown.

2. The UE warship is a Destroyer. The "fins" don't have to be fins really, just
little "sticky outy bits". Also, the shape and gun placement is like that UE
destroyer, and it's the only UE warship to have a long chamber like that with any

3. The huge ship in the background IS huge, because if you look at the scaling
you'll notice it is further away than the Frigates, but appears bigger.

4. The huge ship in the background has a small red line on it, which resembles
the red patches on the Voinian cruiser, and the "spikes" on either side resemble

5. The ships to the left and below the "Voinian cruiser" are longer than they are
wide, meaning they can't be a Zachit fighter, with is equal either way. They
also have large front windows, like the Voinian heavy fighter. Don't believe me?

6. The colours are greatly effected in a proper space view, by other sources of
light. Note that when considering what the ships are.

I thunk the coloring is due to the fact that the artist made them as he thought they'd be without the paintjob they get in the factory.

As I recall, it was not done to look like the game. And those are NOT Zachit ships.

The Zachit Arada isn't there, it's a part of that large blue vessal.. and the ones below it.. I believe those may be prototype kraits..

And Silver Dragon, I guess I should have said it differently... It is too ODDLY SHAPED to be a destroyer... The destroyer is clearly round and tubular... this one appears to be hexagonal... And rather flat... and oddly shaped in the front.. Yes, it is a prototype UE destroyer.

Oh my god!! I'm 98% positive the ships below the unidentified vessel are Voinian Frigates at the same angle. The perspective of size is just off because the UE fighters attacking the unidentified ship are too big. I'm sure if you get andrew or somebody from Ambrosia in here they'll agree. God...lol. You see now?

In the game there is a düde that is a UE Destroyer with a UE Fighter bay and fighters, I forget what the name of the ship was but I pressum the one in the splash is it.

Yeah I was just thinking it might be the U.E.S. Incontrovertible :). It would make sense given that it is somewhat nicely modified - and may even be bigger-looking than a normal destroyer.. it's been around a while and with its history you never know.

Redchigh, could you not have made the splash screen a tad bit smaller like David? It's taken AGES to load on my 56k.

I think the ship is most likely a Voinian Cruiser. What else would be logical? Zachit? CW? Nah.

However, if the blue-colored ship is Crescent, then what would explain why the UE fighters are firing on it? That doesn't really make much sense, since in the game the UE government doesn't have any contact with any Crescent governments, unless you count the Miranu...
But I do think it sort of makes sense that the splash was made before the game was developed, and so the ships in the image wouldn't necessarily be those found in the game.

The brown fighters could maaaby be emalgion fighters because there the only ships that are brown. The Large silver ship has to be a UE Destroyer and The big blue ship might be a CW or a voinian friget. I guess that would make the blue fighters crescent fighters(dought it) or intercepters/heavy fighters. why dosent someone ask Matt Burch,or whoever made the picture ?

I think its the Voinian Dreadnought. It is in the same shape and has those interceptor shaped fighters comin out.
