Make sure you have a decent ship that has like 8 jumps at least. This will come in handy when you have to fly to their training facility on the other side of the galaxy...

and your CR must be noteworhty i think, and a good LS in all azdgari space. and for the training all you need is to have enough to go from the rock to garit or something i made it in an arada, and i took over the rock before to land there and refuel.
