    • Deadman: WOW! That musta sucked big time, thats why I never go into that big blob of igadzra and zidgar space, I don't even have most of it explored, I'll take the longer routes above and under rather than go through that territory. However if I really need to go to UE space quickly, there is a 5 jump path from Azdgari space to I think like stror or something.

diddly - wow, 9 turncoats vs a freight-courier? nice job! that musta been one battle scarred ship! 🙂

I have yet another story to share, the Zachit missions give me trouble yet again. I was doing the mission to attack The Rock. So I figure "Ok, won't be too bad, just use the ol' techniques." Boy was I wrong. I jump in, casually, ready to kick some renegade-butt y'know? I am met with at least 10 Crescent Warships. There was a choir of simultaneous fighter bays opening. WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH! I then look at the radar, and see a swarm of Crescent Fighters coming at me full speed. Y'know how sometimes, in the summer, bugs will swarm together and just fly around in circles in BIG groups sometimes? This is how the radar looked, except the swarm was moving, towards me. I blast the afterburners to get a short gap ahead of them, and get ready to monty-python for my life, literally. Ofcourse, these being crescent fighters with infinite afterburner, they caught up to me within about 5 seconds, a few ahead of the swarm, THE SWARM, and then a few trailing behind. So I took out the first few, then more came, and more and more and more, and I kept doing short bursts of afterburner, using up a fuel tank at a time, or more depending on the severity of the mass attacking me, and then go back to monty pythoning the little bugs. This went on for about 2 minutes or so. It was short because they all came flying at me at once. When I FINALLY got through the last few, I was almost dead. I don't know how I lived, but I had around maybe 15% armor. And I didn't hear any phase fire. So I thought "Oh CRAP! My backup is dead!" and I figured I would have to deal with the swarm of Crescent Warships. I never saw my backup jump in, because as soon as I heard the fighter-bays going off, I turned right around and blasted pretty far away. So I never saw the effort put in by my backup, or who my backup even was. Anyway, I do a target scan, thinking maybe 7 or 8 Crescent Warships would be on.

      Nothing.

There was a Miranu Freighter. That was it. I thought "What? This can't be right, maybe my radar got damaged somehow?" So I blasted down to where the planet was, I must have been FAR out, as it took me a while to get back. I would've used after-burners, but I didn't have fuel. When I got back to the planet, er, asteroid, the Miranu Freighter was there, and no one else. I don't know what happened, other than hearing a lot of phase battles, but that may have been from the guys attacking me, but no one but that freighter was around. So I hailed the Freighter, paid him for fuel, and blasted off. Oh, I forgot to mention this, now that I remember, that Freighter wasn't the only guy, there was a disabled Miranu Gunship, otherwise, nothing at all on the radar. This battle beats the other Zachit Battle I described. Intense huh?

One quick note: Is that the end of the Zachit Missions? Or do I get more?

Good lord you're one lucky bastard, beefpile! And, you were doing this in the Firebird-1, correct? Damn that mustve been intense. I haven't done any Zachit missions though. Orders another Saalian Brandy for Stud, telling the waiter 'Put it on my tab.' and handing it to Stud. So didya hear my last story about the raid on Pariah? Check the last page. It's a hell of a whopper.

    • lol, yeah I read it ESPilot, I found it pretty funny, and I didn't know what to put as an intelligent worthy-of-reading response. I think it's pretty funny that you seemed kind of pissed off with the kind of attitude like "What? I don't want this! Go away! Give me what I want!" kind of attitude. BTW, have you found the balishova missions yet? BTW BTW, yes this was all in my ol' Firebird-1, as I think I said earlier, an Arada with Exp. Shield Generator, a regular shield generator, 4 shield enhancers, and a layer of dospect armor on an Arada can really add up. 🙂 Oh, and thanks for the Brandy 😉

    • Wait, ESPilot, scratch what I said. I thought you meant your other story on another topic posted on the web board. The story that you meant? Yeah, thats some nice missile and turret skills! Everyone always says destroyers are fast. IMHO, they're pretty slow, so I like UE Destroyer captais with skills such as yours. 🙂

    • Ah, I remember my greatest victory with honor. I was in my small puny scoutship, traveling through Zidagar space(this was on my first MTC mission, mind you!) when I was attacked by a Igazra(sp?). So being the coward I was, I went full afterburner to the edge of the system, then tried to jump. But to my terror, I had no fuel left! So I sadly accepted my fate and turned around, using what pitiful weaponry I had. Alas, there were no Zidara or fighters in-system, so I was done for. I dogged it out, and to my astonishment, I disabled the vessel(hard to believe, I know. I was skeptical, too.). I went to board it, and when I hit capture, I could take it over. So in my new ship Nova, I went onwards to deleiver my cargo. And no, I did not CHEAT!

    • Once I took my shuttle craft out on the kill the dreadnaught mission. Being the intelligent person that I am I let my destroyers take out the dreadnaught while I kept the fighters occupied. Of course my side of the battle actually crakced me up. As I flitted around I made them get into a small ball. Then I got close enough for them to fire and they launched their rockets. For some reason the interceptors and heavy fighters rockets hit each other disabling them all. I then took all the fuel I needed and blew up the dreadnaught.

    • (Comes up to the Bar, orders everyone another Brandy) What did I miss? Just got back from playing with Banana Boys. Captured a couple. I got another story that was from a post by someone else but I think you'll enjoy it (takes a swig of his brandy):

I was in my UE Fighter, serial number GH-905-IV (never bothered to give her a decent name). The United Earth techies were kind enough to give me an experimental cloaking device, but since the unit was classified, it was unavailable on the open market, and it could not be removed from my fighter. So, when I was given the Isled recon mission, I had to stick with this rusty lil' bird for the duration.

The Dreadnought mission. My task force: the four UE Destroyers, two UE carriers who happened to be at the battle scene, and my merc force of Emalgha warships. Yes, the Emalgha. Their kinetic energy guns (and more importantly, their rockets) made them a deceptively potent hammer against the Voinian monstrosity.

I pulled the Emalgh off the line and ordered them to wait. I then went in, supporting the other fighters and the capital ships in sweeping the asteroid field of enemy fighters. Then we went to work on the escorting frigates. Okay, so my four swiveling pahse cannons were not the best guns to use against heavy armor, but the frigates got carved up just the same. The mixed blessing was that these phase guns made short work of the Voinian shields, and the UE boys set upon the 'Nought's exposed armor hull.

Soon the fighters crumpled into flame, then the destroyers either went cat or spun out, disabled. The carrier, with all their vaunted homing missiles, lost most of that ammo to stray asteroids, and their close-in blaze guns hardly warmed up the Dreadnought's hull. They, too fell out of commission. It was left to me and the Elms. They acknowledged my call-up order and moved in, firing their guns and rockets. Needless to say, their valiant effort was short, but I could tell from the rocket impacts, they did their job well. It was left to me.

With a vehicle as fast as a fighter, you can outpace the neutron bolts and only take a fraction of the Dreadnought's volleys. Just zip by and get in a burst. With phase guns, it was easy. Simply put, they have the longest, most accurate reach of any guns in the cluster. It ended up as a gunfight, Adara-style, with my fighter zipping by fast enough to get in a burst, then recover my damage as I came 'round for the second pass. Any enemy frigate or cruiser than dropped in on the system never saw me, thanks to a quick employment of the cloak. As soon as they left, it was back to the fight. Even the dead were put to use, as the drifting hulks served as mines that blew nicely with a little exposure to phase energy.

Final burst laid in, and the mighty ship lay motionless. One long, final coup de grace, then it was time to kick in the motors and run as the hulk detonated in the largest blast you'll ever see!

Whew! Hey Bartender! Why is everyone's glass emtpy? Put it on my credit card. What!? Visa isn't accepted here? I guess it's not "Everywhere you want it to be"!

    • Well, I'll try another one too. (This one I'll also be making up on the spot).

A little more recently, I was working for the Zatchit. We had just been testing somenew Gunships, and decided to let the Renegades know about our new weapon - by using it to take out The Rock. Especially since a spy had informed us that Guhana's Gang would be visiting The Rock soon. Guhana's gang was the most famous band of renegades in all of the Crecent. Thier leader, Guhana, was an alien from far beyond the Crecent - belonging to the same race as Miranda. I was reminded of my deciest friend - who me and my fellow Zatcha had fought beside like brothers. Since I left my family on Earth so many years ago, the Zatcha have been the only family I've had. When he died at the hands of the bloodthirsty Renegades, this whole thing became more than making a difference in the universe - it became personal. Now, going up against Guhana himself, I was reminded of my lost friend - and all the more determined to reduce Guhana and his gang to space dust.
We gathered togather all the Zatcha we could that night. If we were to catch Guhana's Gang at The Rock, we would have to act quickly. After recruiting about 15 Zatcha, and a few hours sleep, I was in my Igdzra heading for The Rock. Even though it had been years since I'd worked in UE space, I still named my ship the U.E.S. Hellraiser III. For some reason, I felt it was necessary.
Little did we know of what was in store for us. As we went to refeul at New Mire, there was a small Renegade fleet that was harassing a few freightors. Needless to say, we quickly blew the crap out of them. However, when we landed, Zatcha Tuian was missing. We greived for the loss of another brother. This was becoming an all to regular occurence. Oh well, I thought, maybe after this assult the Renegades will quiet down a bit. Little did we know what was in store for us.
The next day, we left for the final journey to The Rock. But when we entered the DSN-6116 system, we found a huge Renegade fleet waiting for us. We were caught a little off guard, and we paid for that dearly. Soon, five of us were dead, and we had all taken some damage. We retreated to the other side of the system and then regrouped for the counter attack. I hailed Zatcha Quina "Who the hell are these guys?"
"I don't know. But they can't be Guhana's Gang - there are Lizaras and Aradas here."
It was true - everyone in Guhana's gang had upgraded to Crecent Warships a long time ago. Somehow, the Renegades found out about our offensive and sent this force to intercept us. The only thing that I wanted to know is how they found out. We hadn't told anyone about this except the Miran Council of North Tip - the section of the government that sponsors and oversees the Zatcha. I locked my turrents on the neares hostile target as we sped in formation towards the Renegade Hoard. I looked at the target data, and couldn't believe my eyes. The ship was the Eternal Fire - Zatcha Tuian's ship. But it's transponder code no longer read Zatchit - it read Renegade. I hailed Zatcha Quina again. "That son of a bitch double crossed us!"
      "Who?" she replied
      "Zatcha Tuian! He's attacking me!"
However, Zatcha Tuian had never liked Aradas much, and he hadn't had time to upgrade ships, so he was still in a Zatchit Fighter. Of course I easily destroyed the ship. While I physically destroyed the Eternal fire with ease, mentally it was one of the hardest things I had ever done. Over the years, I had gotten to know Zatcha Quina particularly well, and she knew me well enough to know what i was feeling now.
"You had to do it, 21," she said.
"Easy for you to say," I replied, now in a very bad mood.
Soon, the Renegade fleet was space dust, and we re-grouped. Zatcha Veirna took a head count. There were 8 of us left, and Zatcha Quina, Zatcha Fuin, and Zatcha Yorlin had taken heavy damage, and were in no shape to continue on the assuly. They went back to New Mira for repairs. We now had only a third of the origional assult force. After a very heated debait, we decided to go anyway. If we turned back now, the Renegades would grow ever more confindent, and with every assult on the norther Miran worlds, the Zatcha became weaker. We had to draw the line here. So a mere five vessals, we set out to assult Guhana's gang. Any sane person in the known galaxy would have called that suicide - indeed it would be for most of us. But this was too personal now. We shortly discussed out battle plan, and then made the final jump for The Rock.
We got there to find Guhana's gang already in space, ready for action. That son of a bitch must have warned them. All 7 Crecent Warships, piloted by the most cunning, evil pilots in the galaxy. They had been called North Tip's Captins of Freeport. And now, they almost laughed at us. One Igdzra, one prototype warship, 2 Zatchit Aradas, and 2 Zatchit Fighters. They send 12 of thier Crecent Fighters to deal with me. I turned away and acellerated to full speed, then turned around to face the fighters. I watched as they steadily gained un me, until they were just within Phase range. I could feel the Hellraiser shake as 48 Phase cannons pounded on her hull. But I ahd a trick up my sleve that none of the fighters expected.
Suddenly, I acellerated engines to full speed towards them, pouring feul into my afterburner. Just as I passed over the fighters, I let lose 4 defence pods on them. They had seen me running from them, and had already anticipated thier vistory. I caught the by complete surprise. Since they had been flying in close formation, they resulting explostion whiped out all but three of them. While they were much more wary now, the damage ahd been done. For while they are deadly in large numbers, three damaged Crecent Fighters were no match for the U.E.S. Hellraiser III. Soon, I looked back to see that it was jsut me and 6 Crecent Warships - my fellow Zatcha had either ejected or been killed. Immeadiatly I was bombarded with SAD modules. I started to hug the asteroids and waited out the hailstorm. Through years of practice against the Igdzari, I had become very good at hiding from SADs and SAEs in the asteroids. Soon, the Crecent Warships were out of SAD modules. My shields were about 70%. One by one I seperated the pirates from the fleet and engaged them. Each one I destroyed, but each one cost me precious shields - too much shields. Soon my shields were 2%, and there were two ships left - Guhana himself, and Oanges, his second-in-command. Oanges, however, wasn't as experienced as Guhana was. He saw my shields, and raced in for the kill. Indeed, I would have been doomed, if Oanges hadn't made one fatal mistake: he failed to notice the plates of Doposect Armor coaring the Hellraiser's hull. By the time he realized his mistake, it was too late. He was bombarded Defence pods. He tried to get away, and got our of phase range with 7% shields and looked back defiantly at me - right at a trio of Pursuit Missles. The missles slammed his ship and it broke apart with violent force.
Then, I stood face to face with Guhana. We circled each other warily. Fortunatly, he was unaware that my armor was down to 13% - otherwise, he would have immeadiatly engaged and destroyed me. Another 3% and I would be disabled. Then I ordered one of the engineers on board the Hellraiser to abandon repairing the Armor and start an experimental shield generator that was on board the Hellraiser. But I told him to put a block on the plasma flow - so nothing regenerated, the energy just backed up there. I flew around Guhana, appearing to shoot pursuit missles at him through the asteroids - most of which were jammed anyway. I waited until I had 50 terrawatts of shield energy stored up, and then let it all lose at once - springing my shields isntantly up to 10%. Guhana must have been baffeled and a little scared, because his reaction was unexpectedly delayed as I moved in and started pounding him. Eventually, I had to retreat, as my shields were gone again. Now I had exactally 10% armor. If he hit me with one more phase blast, I would be disabled, and he would destroy me and the Zatcha's hope of winning this war with me. His shields were about 35% and he was after me now, and he wasn't going to fall for the experimental generator trick again. It seemed like all hope was lost. But I still had one more trick up my sleve.
      ---------------------------------
Guhana was so close to victory he could smell it. As he closed in on the Hellraiser, he thought it couldn't have too much armor left, and he wasn't going to give 21 a chance to spring that generator thing on him again. Then, suddenly the Hellraiser passed behind an asteroid and disappeared. Did he retreat? thought Guhana, enraged. That wasn't like anyone, and there was no jumpstream residue from a hyperspace jump. That asteroid was too small for a ship the Hellraiser's size to hide behind. Where the hell is he!?!?
      ---------------------------------
I maunvered the U.E.S. Hellraiser III, invisible to Guhana, right over Guhana's Crecent Warship. Now I just has to wait for the right moment...
A few seconds later, I slammed the un-cloak button and the launch secondary button almost simptaniously. Four defence pods slammed down on Guhana's ship - killing his shields. Just as he returned fire, an asteroid drifted in between his ship and the Hellraiser, allowing me to escape out of Phase range unscratched, my armor still 10%.
      ---------------------------------
For the first time in years, Guhana was scared. This is it - he thought. Those who fight and run away live to fight another day. With that, he activated his hyper-engine.
      ---------------------------------
Which I had expeceted. Like all Renegades, his greed and egocentrism was his most fatal flaw. For I had laid 4 more defence pods right in his escape path. As his ship sped out of the system, it colided with the defence pods, which all exploded simotaniously. By the time he realized what had happened, he would be well into hyperspace, and even if he did eject, he wouldn't be in a star system, so he would just drift aimlessly in space intil he ran out of air.
I then went over and started pounding on The Rock untill in blew up, and then in my rage I started pounding on the pieces of it. Until a Renegade Arada jumped into the system. I had forgoten the state of the Hellraiser - indeed, even that Arada would ahve been serious trouble. However, then an Adzari Arada warped in next to it, and started pounding the Renegade Arada. I stayed only long enough to make sure that the Renegade Arada was toast, and then left before I would have to defend myself from the Agdzari Arada. There was no doubt in my mind that I could beat it, but I still tried to avoid engaging Agdzari ships. I went back to Outpost Zatchit and reported that both The Rock and Guhana's gang had been destroyed. I told them about how Zatcha Tuian had stabbed us in the back. And then I got the chasualty report: Other than the three Zatcha that had turned back in the DSN-6116 system, I was the only survivor of the assult. It was a blow to my heart to hear that, and I almsot considered leaving because I counldn't stand losing so many friends so often. But at the same time I realized that the Zatcha had been weakened by this assult almost as much as the Renegades had - and that they needed me more than ever now.

You may have noticed that a few things here didn't add up. Like me flying an Igdzra with an Experimental Shield Generator. And how "Through years of practice against the Igdzari, I had become very good at hiding from SADs and SAEs in the asteroids". This will be explained in the next story I post here, but for now I have to go.

It really beats the crap out of me how 5 Zatcha destroyed 7 Renegade Warships. But, then again, I've seem a Zidara take out an Igdzra and still have 45% shields, wihtout any help from me. I've also seen a Helian take out three UE Fighters. But still, 5 Zatchit Fighters/Aradas/Gunships against 7 CRECENT WARSHIPS! Damn, those must have been some of the best Zatcha in the galaxy.

Or, either the Disco Bison or the U.E.S. Inconvertable decided to drop in for the show. I bet that was it. They would have left as soon as the last renegade ship was toast.

BTW, I was serious about taking out the Dreadnaught in an completely un-modified Freight Courior. And no, the Inconvertable wasn't there to help me.

How did your take down the Igazra?
There have been, though very rare, instances that I've captured various ships at very low odds. Though your capture outdoes this one by quite a bit, I once captured a Voinian Frigate with my Lazira (15 times more crew than me). I think I also captured a Voinian Cruiser with either my Lazira or Crescent Warship (probably the CW). This was quite a while ago, so I'm not entirely sure.

    • (Takes a swig of his brandy and orders another round) Very Interesting stories. I got another that I should have told you guys about with my first post. I was in the earlier stages, working with FE to get money. Once while doing a routine crago mission to Outpost Gamma in the Yandros system, I came across a Voinain Crusier:

As I jump into the Yamdros system, I expect this to be just another FE mission. Scanning my radar I find 1 Voinain Frigate, 1 Voinain Crusier, and 1 UE Destroyer. The Destroyer pounded on the Frigate, making it space dust. It moved to engage to Crusier, but it went down after taking out about 5% of his shields and 3 Heavy Fighters. So it's me and a Crusier and a Heavy Fighter. I fly circles aound the Fighter, eventuly destroying it with my 3 Blaze Cannons.

Now it's me and the Crusier. I let my aide do the shooting, while I did the flying. Seeing that the only way to take out the Crusier was to Monty Python it, but the trick was to keep out of the firing range of those deadly Neutron Turrets and Rocket Turrets. Knowing full well that 1 well placed rocket could destroy me, I went in. I got in front of it with my Blaze Cannons blazing as fast as they could. Keeping out of his range, I slowly took down his shields and then at last armor. Down, down ,down they went, but like an Airplane landing, slowly and smoothly. The Captain of the Crusier finally risked a Rocket shot that almost took me out. Avoiding it had given the Crusier a great way to recharge its shields and armor while distracting me. Rocket after rocket came after me, my flying skills being put to the test. At last, the rocket fire had stopped, they ran out of ammo. Now I go in, keeping out of the range of the Neutron Turrets. The Crusier had gained back some armor in the seconds that they bombarded me with Rockets, but it did no good. After about 5 minutes of overall fighting, I fired a shot and the Crusier stopped dead in space. I fired one-two-three shots at the Crusier, and BOOM! It was gone.

In the aftermath of the Crusier's attack, wondering why all UE ships didn't help me when they were there. I firgured out from the disabled Heavy Fighters that another Crusier had been there, and had taken up the time of the UE Warships.

(person approaches)Yes Captain? Okay, I'll be there in a moment.(chugs his Brandy down, leaving no drops left) Tend, tab please! See ya later, guys. (Walks away)

    • Now gather 'round and I'll tell the tale of what happens to you when you bite off more than you can chew.

One day, back when I was still in the U.E.S. Hellraiser I, I had been taking a break from hard fighting with Voinians. I was relaxing in New Toyko's bar, when suddenly, a distress call came in from a UE Destroyer - the only partol ship in the area. I immeadiatly ran to the U.E.S. Hellraiser, and hailed the destroyer, whose shields were down. Apparently, Needle Edwards had taken a few rookie renegades on a "training mission". In other words, he was showing off. When he and a few Helians warped into the system, they engaged the UE Destroyer. He had let the Helians do it - he said it would be good experience. Suddenly, my comm challen was cut off - and the UE Destoryer blew up.
While I wasn't too famous yet, I was famous enough so Needle Edwards knew who I was. But to the rookies, I was just another UE Destroyer. I locked onto Needle Edwards comm channel. He hailed the rookies. "Now, me mateys, let me show ya' how it's real'y done."
He let lose a nice Savlo of those wierd missles - that I would later learn were Pursiut Missles - which I avoided quite nicely. Then I gave him my own Salvo of rockets, which all scored. He was getting pissed now, yet he could do nothing as I came up behind his clumsey Turncoat and finished him. As he ejected, I could almost hear the Rookie's laughter from the Hellraiser, as they too jumped out. Needle Edwards would never forget how I humiliated him that day, though. Defeating him was one thing - but I should have know better than to humiliate one of the Captins of Freeport in front of his comrads.
A year or two later, I had just raided Freeport again and landed. I went to the bar and ordered a grosly over-priced bottle of Saalian Brandy. I waited and waited, but it didn't come. So I got up to go "persuade" the bartender to give me either my drink or a refund. I had no sooner gotten up than I head a chair smash over the one that I had been sitting in a second ago. I whirled around and my Blaze Blaster lept into my hand - and the me and Needle Edwards stood there facing each other. That moment seemed to freeze in time as we both brought our weapons up and shot. However, I shot a split second sooner. When the Blaze Blast left a baseball-sized hole through Edward's chest, it wasn't soon enough to stop him from shooting. It did make him flinch as he shot, however, and his blaze blast hit me in the sholder. Having heard the shots, every Renegade in the bar grabbed his weapon and started shooting at me. I dove under the table, and soon the scene erupted into total chaos. I got out the back dore, with Needle Edwards shirt wrapped around my wound, and ran back to the Hellraiser.
It dodn't take long for the rest of the Captins of Freeport to grasp what had happened, and follow me into the sky. I thought of fighting back, but while I was one of the best pilots in UE or independant space, I wasn't a maricle worker. I had no choice but to run. The Captins of Freeport chased me a few jumps south of the Riomor system, and then they finally gave up. I was partially relieved because they had stopped chasing me - and partly annoyed that I now had to fly around this empty system for 10 minutes while my Feul Scoop worked up enough feul to get me back in friendly space. Then suddenly, my ships alarm went off. My first thought was - it's the Captins of Freeport again. I hit the nearest hostile targer button, getting ready to blow Lightning out of the sky for the fifth time this week - the only Captin of Freeport foolish enought to fly a suicide pod, um, excuse me, a Krait. But instead, my target scan read "Crecent Fighter". What the hell is a Crecent Fighter? I thought. Then, this white blur wizzed by me at lightning speed - at least compared to a UE Fighter, the fastest ship in the UE/Voinian sector of the galaxy. And it struck my shields with devastation effectivness. Luckily, I was easily able to destroy it, but not without taking severe damage. And then, another unknown ship jumped into the system. This one was a "Renegade Arada". I perpared for the assult, but ti quickly knocked my remaining shields out with some kind of rocket. I launched hunter missle after hunter missle at it, each one knocking it back just out of rocket range. Little did I know then that I could have easily defeated it in toe-to-toe combat, as it's weapons were worthless against my Doposect armor. For the first time in a long time, I was afraid. Finally, I knocked it's shields out and it started to retreat. One more hunter missle disabled it. I boarded it. Think my position was much more precarious than it actually was, I decided to take over the Arada - at least then I would be able to outrun any of these alien warships and hopefully out-maunver any fighters. For I thought that I was as good as dead if I stayed in the U.E.S. Hellraiser. I easily captured the Arada, which only had 3 crew members. After naming the Arada the U.E.S. Hellraiser II, I ditched the U.E.S. Hellraiser on the moon of a nearby planet - it was painful to let go of her. In all of the 8 years that I had had her and been serving the UE, she had never let me down, except when she was sabotaged by Renegades. But even then, I demanded that she be repaired instead of replaced. But from my knowledge, sticking with her was a death sencence. Later, I found out that her Armor would have been very effective against the Renegades phase weapons, and I went back for her. Only to find that the Renegades had ripped her apart for scrap metal.
Soon I found my way to South Tip Station. Some "Miran Courior" offered to show me the way in return for picking a fe Crecent Fighters off it's back. I quickly found that the Crecent Fighters weren't too tough when you were using Phase Weapons too, and neither were Renegade Aradas as long as you didn't let them hit you with thier Disperal Rockets. I refeuled and got a few upgrades for the U.E.S. Hellraiser II, and the headed back for UE space. However, I soon found that the Captins of Freeport hadn't forgotten about me killign Needle Edwards, and were effectivly blockaiding me out of UE Space. It looked like I would be hanging around this place called "The Crecent" for a long time.

Ok, I know I didn't explain how I got an Igdzra with an Experimental Shield Generator. I'll get to that in one of these stroies...

I'll share a short, amusing story...

I had just landed on Paaren, refuel, resupply, the usual. I stopped in the bar, watch the holo-vid, get a sip of Saalian Brandy before I headed off. A Frontier Express Officer approached me, and offered a job which would send me to Outpost Omicron. I didn't have anything else to do, so I took it. I suited up in my ship, and tok off.

When I got to Omicron, the usual blockade of Voinians were there, along with 2 UE Destroyers. The Destroyers went up against the Voinians, taking out 2 frigates before being disabled and blown up. Another Frigate, decided to attack a group of traveling Freight Couriers. 4 of 'em were being attacked by this idiot. He disabled one of the 4 Freight-Couriers, and I went after him. The other three FCs, were heading towards hyper-space range, I was flying around with afterburners on, dodging rockets at me, and the FCs went off my screen. When I saw them again, they were heading back the other way! I don't know what happened, maybe they got pissed off for the loss of one of their friends, but they were launching Hunter missiles together, and started attacking a voinian frigate together! I've never seen anything like this in my life! They just turned around, and started launching and shooting! I was pre-occupied with the other frigate who disabled the first FC, so I didn't get to help, however I was able to watch the battle happen, and the FCs lasted longer than I expected, but eventually, one got disabled, and the other 2 ran away, and hyperjumped. I finished off the remaining Voinians, and landed on Omicron.Anybody else ever seen anything like this?

I had that oh-so-awful 75 capture percentage that made it really hard! 😉 It was the same thing with the Igazra, 😉 Also, remember, I was in a Voinian Cruiser with the neutron turrets and rocket turrets exchanged for blaze turrets and dispy. rockets.

P.S. Stud, exactly which 'bar' is this supposed to be?
