What do you do when you are stuck in space and need to wait for your fuel to fill?

I spin in circles!

And sometimes, for variation, I change direction! (I live on the edge)

I ask a merchant to refuel me.
When he's done I disable him and take my money back (and some fuel of course)
Then I kill him.

Hehe, nothing beats spinning as if out of control all right :). I feel that killing someone who helps you refuel just ruins the feeling that there are others out there doing the same as you :).

I hold down autopilot and thrust to get into a perfect circle around the system center. By the time I get into one, I usually have at least a jump's worth of fuel. If I'm nowhere near the system center, I look for someone I can shoot at without getting in trouble, just for fun and practice.

The last time I was on this board, the price of dumb questions was really high.

I try and manouevre around asteroids as if they'd kill you if they hit, and for an extra challenge, I avoid stars.

If I'm in a ship with s fighter bay, I like to play with my fighters. I'll have them released, and then return, and then released, and then return, and so on and so on. It's fun!

If I'm in a ship with no fighter bay, I like to try to sit completely still, without moving whatsoever.

If you have a fighter bay, release a fighter, use alt-tab to select him on your scanner, open communications with him, release him from servitude, disable him, take his fuel then capture him. That is, if the fight has armour..

I think that's a bit risky.Theres a chance you won't recapure your fighter and then you would lose a nice amount of money.And you would probably wish you had simpley begged for fuel.

I either attack a ship that I can afford to get in trouble with (like traders) or move around the system, trying to intercept ships that come in. Otherwise (like in the nebulas) I just try to aviod asteriods)

I attack asteroids or at least try to evade them. This task would be made better if shooting the asteroids actually made them move in a dufferent direction methinks. Is this in EVN? I realized I could never win at dodging stars

I just sit completely still in the system center until either a weak freighter comes by, if I'm in a warship in the middle of nowhere, or I refuel (ramscoops are so cool!)
