Layout:

Universe: The same, except for freeport and earthe renegades (Other stuff can be added)
Focus race(s): Cresent races, Renegades
Other races: Miruna, Volians, UE (This is the same as it would be in EVO)

Idea:

Here is the setup:

You are a UE renegade. You have 1 million, 20 thousand credits. You have a bad legaL STATUS in UE space, plus regular legal status in the cresent(ussualy defaulted to bad).
Renegade leaders have just decided to leave UE space and launch a full out attack agianst the cresent. You are stationed at Freeport, now a independant colony. You have a shuttle craft

Thats what it is about. The 1 million is for if you want to buy a fake ID
Do you go with the renegades? Help protect the cresent? Stay as a normal person and be a normal trader? Restart a career with the UE navy?

To my knollage, no other plug like this has been made. I think it may be really different and cool

First of all, this wouldn't be a total conversion. It would just be a detail changing plug; the races and ships and such would still be the same.

Second, you cannot change the starting credits. And even if you could, it would be regarded as a cheater plug, which are not very respected arround these parts.

I'm sure that it could be done with some changes, but I don't see why you need a developer to do it for you. It would be a very simple plug, do it yourself. Its not that hard.

Its more of a basics, if you look it says the universe can be changed. I wouldn't want it to be the same universe, but im just saying that nothing is going to Change(STuff may be added, but nothing changed, if you get my drift). Anywho, second of all, im sure there is a way to change the starting number of credits. Lastly , i see everybody asking around here for plug ideas, so i think some1 would be very happy to make a good plug in idea. (weather my idea is good or not, i m not sure

Actually it is entirely possible to change the starting credits, just supply a starting pilot for the player which has been altered using the PFE (???). I'm not sure if that is what it's called but you can change anything in the pilot file.

I was talking about in an actual plug-in. Putting in a hacked pilot file is not plug-in development, its high-brow cheating.

Well. . . It isn't that bad a thing to do. I mean I was facing a similar situation because I wanted to have a pilot start with 50,000 cr instead of 10,000 because I think it's a little too low.

slksc- If you want to have the player start out with 1 million cr do what I did. I had a mission in the very beginning in the planet that you start out at and not let any other mission pop up until after you do it. So you have in the bar something like "I'm from the Freeport bank, you have some cr that must be withdrawn, come this way. . ." that you can't turn down and have it have a 1 million payoff.

The Volians, you say? Would they be any relation to the Bolians from Star Trek, the blue-skinned guys with a line down the middle of their faces? Also, who are these "Miruna" you speak of? And I'll assume the "Cresent" is some sort of alternate universe version of the Crescent.

It is easily possible with Perl/Python, and I think that Java would do it (I just don't know how:0).
