    • FH mission problem - signature chip recovery

Hi, in Frozen Heart I'm having a problem with the mission from New Venus where the delightful Katherine Baxter asks me to recover the data signature chip from a certain ship (the name changes - sometimes "Artiste", sometimes "Meat Wagon"...).

The problem is, almost every time I warp into the system, I have pirates to deal with first, by which time I've finished, the named ship has disappeared out of the system. On the one occasion when I didn't have pirates, and I started attacking the ship, it warped away before I could disable it.

I've tried this mission about 6 times now, usually with the pirate problem. Can anyone give me some advice on how to avoid the ship getting away from me every time?

My ship is a Buccaneer, four ion cannons, one ion turret, no secondaries (due to lack of space), shield generator and recharger, girders, struts etc...all engine, PCQ, thrust upgrades...but all to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any help

    • Hmmm. Having the tachyonic fighter would definitely help....although I don't remember if you can get that yet.

I'm not sure what to say, except ignore the pirates and go after the ship first. Its all in the speed and timing. You'll get it eventually!
