Carnotaur gathers together the disruptor beam technology, his two Igazras and Azdgari warship, all equipped with disruptor beams, and one disruptor beamer itself and goes to Azdgari to pick up Intimidator. Once there, he and Intimidator have a private meeting. After the meeting, Intimidator sends out a message to Daedalus, Oasa, Buba, and Rooster, telling them to meet on Azdgari.
Once everyone is present, the meeting begins, started by Intimidator. As you all probably know, I have recently been trying to rebuild the Azdgari navy. So far we have built 90 Azdgari warships, 120 Azdgari Aradas, and 200 Azdaras. However, we will only be able to commit 1/4 of these forces to the offensive against the Ancara. The other 3/4 I will use to protect the Azdgari Empire which is critically weak at this point.
Recently my son, Carnotaur, has developed a new kind of devastating weapon: The Disruptor Beam. It works by using highly consontrated energy to split sub-space and thus creating massive amounts of energy. Most fighters would be instantly vaporized by this beam. To tell you more about this weapon, I turn over the floor to Carnotaur.
Carnotaur stands. Thank you Intimidator. Intimidator is right, the Disruptor Beam is extremely deadly. However, it requires vast amounts of fuel. However, I have also recently developed the Super Ramscoop, which recharges fuel at 10 times the amount a normal scoop does. With this technology, the disruptor beam is highly practical. However, because of its design, the Disruptor beam cannot work near either sub-space disturbances, or black holes. The results of firing this weapon would the be instant vaporization of any ship, vessel, or planet within 550 million nautical miles, about half a system. There would then be a massive shockwave, which would disrupt sub-space within 10 light years. Anything within the system would be destroyed. Hyperspace links would also be destroyed, and communication would be impossible until 8 hours after the explosion. Hyperspace may also not function. But dont worry. This only occures near major sub-space disturbances and black holes.
My friend Daedalus thinks that this weapon is too dangerous, and so has only employed one on one of his vessels. I assure you Daedalus, the chances of a Disruptor beam not sealing sub-space and creating a black hole is 1 billion to one, and it might be even more unlikely.
Now that I am finished addressing the Azdgari Empire and myself, I now turn the floor over to Daedalus.
