    • How should I transfer a 1.48mb file from win-mac?

I need to get the 1.0.2 update to my macintosh, as it doesn't have the internet. Since it doesn't fit onto a floppy, I have no idea what to do!
      Anyone have any ideas?

    • get a CD-R drive for your PC.

Burn the update, along with any other files, onto the CD.

Assuming your mac has a CD-ROM drive.

    • If anyone has stuffit, could you stuff the file, split it into 2 files <1.38mb and then e-mail it to me? The mac can unstuff and join the files, but I can't split them with the pc. Thanks

Yeah, I could do that... I'd even email you, but you, being the secretive and private person that you are (ummm... I think)... didn't enter an email address in your registration...

just a small point.... Stuffit unstuffs. Dropstuff stuffs.
What do you want stuffed? the whole game? the installer? (if there is one? I forget)

    • Here's the clearification:

Stuff the EVO 1.0.2 Update file after you d/l it...(It already is)

Use a program ie: Stuffit Lite or Stuffit Deluxe to segment the file into 1.3 meg chucks...(should be one big chunk and one small chunk) then upload it or e-mail it to him...

(I would do it, but I'm too damned busy)

      PEACE YO!

The Mac may not be in a convenient position to allow swapping.

If you do a lot of file transfers between the computers, and if the computers are fairly close, you should go out and buy some Ethernet crossover cable and download a freeware FTP server programs for one of the computers. With the cable, you can connect the two computers and FTP the files over.

    • What are all of you's talking about. The easiest and best way to transfer files to another computer is by an Ethernet cable. I have a network including 4 computers (two of them are Macs) and I send my files over that all the time. When I send a file from a mac to another, I use Appletalk which is the easiest. When I send from a PC to a mac or the other way, I use Hotline Client. Its a very simple way to send files to other computers... Or you can do it with these other stupid methods that takes forever to do..... To download Hotline, go to (url="http://"http://www.hotlineSW.com/")http://www.hotlineSW.com/(/url) and read more...

    • I can't simply switch the connection because I have MediaOne cable and you have to call them and deal with a bunch of administration each time you change computers. Flat:My e-mail is ktarry@usa.net

    • Alternatively, get a Zip drive. If you're still having problems kylet, email me.

That, or a superdisk drive - wait, it is available for the PC?

    • I assume a current version of EVO is on the latest Ambrosia sampler CD. Why not order that, then you can try their other programs as well. Some are quite good, but keep the faith... keep playing EVO!
