I was just wondering what call battles people have had.
When destroyng the rock in the Zachit missions me and about 5 miruna gunships ganged up on 1 cresent warship and pounded the hell out of it.
I was using MAGMA so the explosions were Kick Ass

I the Zachit mission, "The Rock," with a UE Cruiser and six captured Azdaras. By the time I was done I only had three Azdaras left.
btw, this was in 1.0.2 so the fighters were smarter, that's why it was harder to beat.

My favorite battle was when I had to take out the Dreadnought for the first time. I only had a UE Fighter. I just took some pot shots at it and a Carrier along with 2 Destroyers and my 3 Destroyer escort guys, finished it off. I just sat back and killed some interceptors :).

Heh. The first time I did the Dreadnought missions, I was in a Scoutship. I had just done the search and retrieve missions for the Scoutship crew, and when I saw the Dreadnought I mentaly pissed myself. Being a hardcore EV player since it came out (I've been playing EV since 1.0.0, though I wasn't on the webboard), and no ship had ever been this big! :eek: Confed Cruiser eat your heart out! 
But I just leapt right for it. I got killed in about 0.000000000000000001 seconds, but I did try.

My best battle was in defense of Iothe, fighting 3 renegade turncoats with their fighters and escorting helians...in a slightly modified UE Destroyer I had taken and mod'd at Paaren Station.

My best battle was an attack on the Council Station. I did lose my task force, but I caused some SERIOUS havoc there, eliminating 5 Crescent Warships before we had to bail.

Normally, I try to avoid violent conflict, but my modified Miranu Courier has had some fun picking on renegade Kraits. That's right, I attacked THEM!

My best battle was the final engagement over Voinia. The Voinians were down to what they could steal from others, mainly Emalgha freightors and stuff. Laid waste to the entire planet.

Fight? That wasn't a fight. That was my borrowed Dreadnought laying the smack on some renegades. Kid, lemme tell you about what 'Fun' really is...

I'd have to say my best achievment in EVO was when I flew am upgraded UE Cruiser to Vionia with no escorts, and proceeded to destroy every Voinian warhip I came across for well over an hour. I destroyed dozens upon dozens of fighters, and more Frigates & Cruisers than I could count.....I know I slaughtered well over 20 Frigates, and about half as many Cruisers.......that was an epic fight. I survived it, to boot.
Another good moment for me was killing the Voinian Dreadnought with an Arada. That ranks high on my list.
As far as EV goes, by FAR my crowning achievment there was killing the Alien Cruiser with a mere shuttlecraft.

When you realize you've finally get a ship good enough to flip off Kraits as they approach without them managing to get off a shot. Then you swagger up to some bada$$ warship and get vaporized!

In EV, my best battle was pulling a Monty Python on the Alien Cruiser (with a Kestrel), and in EVO I demanded tribute from Voina and sat there and blew up Voinian Cruisers for at least an hour. After 20 minutes I started running out of rockets, so I disabled the cruiser's escorts and stole rockets from them. It got boring after a while, so I decided to go to Freeport and kill some renegades.

Not my best battle but my most fun was going to Hautauli and sitting there with my fully loaded Igazra and blew up Turncoats for over an hour. Oh yes. Sweet retribution for my trading days. Strict and without remorse. When they were all out I went to Freeport. Got my revenge. I liked Freeport so much I decided to take it over.

Man, I couldn't go anywhere without seeing fighting and destruction. It was a huge battle, and at the end, I took a l-o-n-g bubble bath to calm down.

That's exactly how I killed the dreadnaught the first time. Except I had my Pareen station escort, and other than those two missions, i had two weapons convoys and three voinian warfleets. That was a HUGE battle. There were Hunter Missles and Rockets everywhere, And several ships had to wait to release thier fighters, because the maxium number of ships in the system had been reached. I had just gotten my UE Destroyer, and only had time to get some Doposect armor and load up on rockets. The Dreadnaught may be tough, but it doesn't last too long when 8 UE Destroyers (including me) gang up on it, with a few UE carriers giving support with Hunter Missles (thier fighters had long since been reduced to space dust).

How did you capture Azdaras? They have no armor so they can't be disabled.
My favorite battles...
My favorite battles are usually the really close calls early in the game when
I have a crappy ship. A shuttle vs Krait battle can get very tense,
especially in 1.0.2. The sight of a Turncoat is scary, with those Kraits
coming in, while I use up most of my fuel on afterburners trying to dodge
needle missiles. Scoutship vs. Renegade Arada can be pretty harrowing too.
Another series of fun battles happened when I was flying a Miranu Heavy
Freighter with an Emalghian warship conversion and some mass expansions. It
was armed to the teeth, but looked like easy meat to the renegade aradas
and laziras. Poor bastards had no idea what they were up against until this
freighter started slamming them with dispersal rockets, and their phase cannons
could hardly make a dent in the freighter's bronhev plate. Heh heh.
Ever beaten the Vionian Dreadnought in an Azdigari Azdara before?
I HAVE!! I'm not lyi'n. I did it virtualy alone too. Ding-dong-destroyers kept on going for the freighters nearby instead of the doody dreadnought!
Took quite ahwile too. had to stay away from the bloody triple rocket launchers--those would kill you instantly. Plus I was bouncing all over the place from the rocket impacts.
Finaly did it though.

ohhhh man, here we go again. This was along time ago so i dont remember it very well. I was doing some mission string and the people wanted me to go and destroy a renegade fleet, so i said "k" and set off thinking it would be a few wimpy ships. I was wrong. I dont remember how many there were or what i did WRONG, all i remember is that i came back from the battle with 1% armor left. Sweet.
