Does anyone know how many fireseeds it takes to kill Xichra? When the fireseed bug doesn't act up (which is rare...still waiting for a fix for that), it seems like I can use all of them and still not be able to kill her. Has anyone done it, and if so, any estimates on how many it took? Thanks

I know for sure Xichra is beatable, as I've seen my brother do it. How many seeds? I have no clue. If you haven't rescued Dimbo, do so, (he's in The Labyrinth ) as that will get you 99 fire seeds and 99 zir. seeds, both of which can be used to fight Xichra. If you have rescued Dimbo, but don't have the seeds, go see Nimbo in River of Fears.

I think possibly what you're not dong (I've not beaten Xichra myself, so I'm not too sure about this...) is shooting at her while she's on the ground. Most people (don't quote me on this!) like to use the V Blade the most, so they get her with some fire seeds, then, while she's on the floor, they jump over her and fire a few rounds of the V Blade at her.

Thanks for the advice! The odd thing is, I've been all through the labyrinth and still haven't found Dimbo....it even says I've found 100% of the secrets at the end of the board...odd...

Well, I've never actually fought Xichra in the factory level set. In (url="http://"http://drtalll.tripod.com")Dr Tall Land(/url), it takes about all your seeds (which would be 198) to kill two Xichra's at once. I suppose that one Xichra would be around 100-120 seeds.

Hey Thok, when you said Dimbo was in the Labyrinth, I used MASCOT to moniter Purple Haze and saw a guy that looked exactly like Dimbo. Have you gotten to Purple Haze and seen this yet?
Note: ( I have not gotten to Purple Haze yet. I am stuck at Parched Earth all becuase of that damm timer! I could beat the level if there was no timer. Hey do you have any advice of how to beat the timer?)
Another note: (I don't know how, but somehow I skipped from "Goblin Chief" to "Parched Earth." Do you know how to not skip all those levels?)

Harryfan - you can do other the levels (to the east & north) before tackling Parched Earth - you have to find the other exit from "Unemployed in Greenland". Go to your right.
There are no levels between the Goblin Chief and Parched Earth, so you've done nothing wrong.
You are not supposed to talk about Purple Haze in public. (It will be self explanatory when you get there).
Parched Earth - just keep trying. You'll get it in 2000 or so tries.

Thanks for that advice MonsterLady. But I went into the exit on the right into that thunder-storm level and can't get past it. But I do have a few saved games there.
Oh and about Parched Earth, I might get it in less than 2000 tries, but where my real problem is is that place where there's all those spinning and moving cannons. It usually takes at least 2 minutes, and I can't get there in over 3 minutes.( Okay, 2 minutes and 57 seconds.) And I know I can't get past the rest of cough cough the level in under a minute without running out of time, so I just start all over again.Cough cough do you have any advice of how to get through that area of Parched Earth I was talking about any
cough fas cough ter? Excuse me about all those coughs. Do you have any advice that might make the thunder-storm level any easier? And why am I not supposed to talk about P.H. in this topic thing? How many tries did it take you to get you to the end of Parched Earth without running out of time?

I don't have a wife, kids, or a house, so:
Purple Haze is accessed with a secret door in Ob & E (I can't spell it). Find a place with a monument to a person who has died with brine (purple water) all around it. Fire to the east and go through. Throw a couple fire seeds again to the far-east wall untill you see holes in the backgound. Enter it as a door. Now, drop down the tunnel in the left of the room.

We arn't going to tell you. If you want to know so bad, just see who it is using mascot. You already told us you have it. Get info on the lookalike. In the bottom four info fields, in the top of those four is a number. Memorize it. Have the conversation editor go to the conversation of that number and there you have it.
