And its great that you have made a plug-in which makes one side finally win, especially as its the side few people like- Confeds.

Okay, it's FINISHED! It now stands at 58 missions, phew!
About hating my work, I don't really, it's just I've created the plot and played through it so many times it's become a routine. Also, when I get excited about an idea, I tend to make loads of spelling mistakes, so spellchecking is what takes up most of the time. I've played through it twice, I'm doing it a third time (since I have no beta testers, I have to work doubly hard to squish those bugs) just to make sure.
By the way, the Confeds don't win per se. They capture a lot of rebel space, and that's great, but I tried to do the campaigns like a actual commander would. I mean, the Battle of Voinia is all very nice (I'm not putting down ROTUE, I thought it was great), but in reality, you would go straight to the capital first. Don't worry, there's a good 50 missions before you actually attack Palshife, but I think that Bomb had the right idea with attacking Sol almost straight away. Anyway...
I must say I'm quite proud of myself. Normally, at this point, I throw in the towel because of internet problems and the plug is left to decay on my hardrive. Then I have a good old cleanup, see a 40 mission plug and think 'will I really ever release/play that?' and in the bin it goes. I've lost a good few plug-ins that way, but not this one. Loads of systems change twice, and I would have made them change even more, but EV doesn't have enough Bits to play with.
So, for the specs, Confed Rule (the name of the plug) adds:
58 missions
Countless changes to systems and planets
1 new ship (purchasable)
1 new weapon plus its weap/ammo outfits (also purchasable)
Several distinct characters
No plot, but several decent storylines strung together
Dealings with the Confeds, rebels, pirates, ConEx, UGE, Cydonia and Militia (no aliens, sorry)
My own creations onto the EV story (like who actually owns Maxwell's Purchase?)
A load of fun battles and other missions
So, watering anyone's mouth yet?
After I test it this last time, it will come out of beta and then it will be up to Gildor to put it out for me. The public will have to be my testers.
Another note, straight from the Docs:
"I stole a graphic from Galactic Scourge (a sort of torpedo launcher thing). I know I'm probably breaking copyright laws, but c'mon, both GS and Confed Rule are freeware, so no one's losing any money, right? Please forgive me.:) "
Seriously though, will I get sued for this? I could just replace it with a banal graphic, but it will lessen the realistic enjoyment of the game. I would contact the makers of GS but it seems like a load of bother just over one graphic. Advice, anyone?
So, that's Confed Rule. Any suggestions, comments, thoughts?
