Won't you all be happy when Contraband has finished porting Nova to the system.

Hey...I had a Mac, and used it to play EV for a LONG time, but it blew up. I don't have the money to get a new one (though I have a friend who's selling his old iMac, I should be able to get it if he offers little enough).

Hey. What did I do to you 😉

    • Well, I don't need anymore help, I'm happy enough with the current speed of EVO on my PC. Thanks to everyone for your prompt responses.

      ------------------

    • Well, I am a previous Mac user and convert to PCs... I still have a Mac out in the garage, but its an old Performa and its cold out there, so I don't bother with it. I have a question, if I'd registered EV on the Mac before, but lost the slip with the code on it, is there any way to make the copy of EV over here registered?

      ------------------

    • Well, the code is obviously inactive now, so my guess is to call Ambrosia, and ask 'em for a new code. That's what I did when my PoG code died out. But, I would just pay for the code again, I mean, isn't it worth it? And don't the guys deserve it?

      ------------------

    • Well. I don't think you got what I meant, at least I don't think that you did, exactly. This is a completely different copy of EV, as I don't have any real practical means to get it from my old Mac up here. So I was wondering how I could get it registered... without paying, preferably 😛

    • Y'Know, the ASW site is actually pretty easy to navigate. If you go up to the "support" button, you will find an area devoted to tech support, including lost codes. In fact, I believe the email address is lostcodes@AmbrosiaSW.com. Email them with your registration info (name & number of copies) and they can probably send you the code. Oh, and Penguin, expiring codes are pretty new in ASW stuff. I input my codes for EV and EVO from years back in the emulator, and they worked fine.

    • I know they're new, but I would think they'd make it so old codes would expire, otherwise if you have an old code laying around you can use it over and over again.....Oh well, drop the subject, I'm tired, G'night.

    • Uhm. Everywhere I go the newest build is 142 😉

On the official Windows port of Basilisk II, by Lauri Personen, there's a link to a "Gamma ramp patch for EV Nova," or something along those lines.

      Here's the link: (url="http://"http://gamma.nic.fi/~lpesonen/BasiliskII/")http://gamma.nic.fi/...nen/BasiliskII/(/url)

    • Ah, got it. Thanks a lot. But, now where do I get a PPC ROM and an OS new enough to run it? I think I have 7.5 or something on my emulator right now...
