The biggest change was the addition of plugins in version 1.0.1. The only way to edit 1.0 was by altering the data files.

I think everyone on here probably has 1.0.5 by now, though like I said, I've only had it for about a month. I spent a long time on 1.0.4.

The main thing that I can remember is that in some earlier version, you could destroy asteroids. Man, I remember how i used to use them as target practice when I first got gasp a PROTON CANNON.

I've been using 1.0.5 for years, except that I use the EV graphics file from 1.0.5b1 because for some reason, the final version of 1.0.5 ~deleted~ some of the new graphics and replaced them with the old 1.0.4 versions, and I like the new graphics.

I played version 1.0 for around two years, and like David Arthur already said, version 1.1 contained the largest new features. I've used all the versions of Escape Velocity, and as logic would say, the latest version is the best...

If you have the demo cd that has total conversions, it has 1.0.5 on it. The cd is a pink color with a penguin on it. It also has a plug-in on it.
