If you're gonna edit the game with ResEdit, just make the Alien Cruiser up for purchase.

As much as people say the Confederation Cruiser is the most powerful ship in the game, the Alien Cruiser really is. Making it available for purchase is practically cheating, and even if it were available, I wouldn't sell it for anything less then 40.0 million credits.

Your trying to take on the sol!!! You idiot!!

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah!!
You're chances are slim, since these suggestions involve cruisers, which most of us can't get. :frown: Before I try to dominated rebellion on confed planets, I'm gonna complete both missions strings (with fake ID)

My mistake is thinking I could take Sol with the fleet I had... it's time for a change of plans. I traded my Rebel Cruiser for an upgraded Destroyer and I've been capturing all sorts of pretty ships. Now I have 3 Kestrals, a Rebel Cruiser and two Corvettes (I'm going to dump the corvettes for 2 more Rebel Cruisers i think). I know this is nothing compared to what some of you guys have.... but I'm convinced it's only a matter of time before I take Sol. And I'm particularly fond of Silverdragon's system of weights and wooden objects... hehe. I was just wondering... how many of you besides Captain Skyblade have sucessfully captured the Sol system?

I have!!! But everyone please remember, I was flying an upgraded Destroyer like Laertes recommended, along with four Rebel Destroyers and Two Rebel Cruisers as escorts. Normally for taking Confederation planets once you've completed all the Rebellion missions strings, I recommend getting yourself a Rebel Destroyer, along with the same ships I have in my fleet. Or if you want, get six Rebel Cruisers as escorts, since all their mantas can really pack a whallop...But I normally use the first suggestion.

That's way out of the question, or atleast insane.

Not if you have the right plug-in. IF you do it might only be 59 credits, like
my cousins' is.

Me too - took about three days (i.e. 72 hours non-stop play :))
I fly in circles around both the bad guys and my escorts, forcing the bad guys to fly through the escorts to chase me. They usually die quite quickly.

Has anyone got Ruby? I tried for an hour and a half and then I accidently blew myself up just as they seemed to be weakening- never tried again.
In ev plug ins, there is a plug in called Ships Galore. It is a great plug in. It gives you many ships. And if your desperate, it will reduce earth fleet to 10 Frigates. And there is a powerful weapon that can take all off them in a second. So if your desperate, use it, but dont you get satisfaction when you dont cheat? Good Luck

IM JUST A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION
Although I have 128,89M Credits in the Bank and growing by 89,000 a Day, I am unable to take Earth. Even with my Rebel Destroyer and 30 Hawk fighters, 50 Shield Enhancers and LOADS of other stuff + a Forklift. Earth can fall but I don't have the time.
My favourite item is the Shield Drainer, by crippling Pirate Corvettes (they have loads of stuff)you can make loads of dosh(like I need it!)
The one item I would like is the Cloaking Device, I had it, but that was back in the days when Capt Hector was still bugging me and I was in a weak Courier craft.

Earth will surrender to me!!
