I've decided to go ahead on my Ares site project. Currently in the process of securing a domain name ( (url="http://"http://www.aresaxis.net")www.aresaxis.net(/url) ) and hosting ( (url="http://"http://www.racknine.com")www.racknine.com(/url) )

What we need:
•Staff members willing to help maintain the site + write for it.

•People willing to write permanent/temporary columns about Hera/Ares strategy/Ares story(real story only).

•People willing to help write reviews of Ares plugins for the site

•Someone willing to write a weekly/biweekly Q&A; column about Hera and Ares for the site similar to Ask Slug

•Moderators for the forums if there aren't enough staff members to handle it.

•Plugin authors to submit information/website about upcoming plugins to the site and maybe post a few screenshots or movies of it(max of 500-750kb or so per plugin right now due to transfer and space limited)

•Someone to make a decent site due to the fact that my current one sucks

we're working on better graphics I really dislike non-solid color(read:black or white) backgrounds though.

Down $50? That sounds like the cost of the basic hosting plan, but did you actually buy (url="http://"http://www.aresaxis.net")www.aresaxis.net(/url) in the "Register a Domain" section?

Yea, bought the domain too. Was $42.95 or something close to that for the basic hosting for a year+ $10.95/year for www.aresaxis.net.

Excellent. The Axis is restored. Hmmmm. I'm thinking a sweet and simple scheme, nothing too fancy- starry backgrounds are rather irritating. Side columns are great, but big buttons are so last Tuesday. I might put together a layout proposal, but not tonight- damn HSC assessments.

I see some content is available already- how many staff are you looking for, exactly?

Well, I had offered to create the site's interface. What I was intending on doing was - quite literally - a carbon copy of the Ares interface. Using the borders of the console you see when selecting levels/options/keys/etc.

Yes... but I'm running on 1024x768 and it looks like a decent size anyways. It's done through frames, so it scrolling won't be any problem, and we need to have something that people using smaller resolutions can still make sense of. Besides, there are all sorts of places on the console where I can attach JavaScript widgets.

Indeed. You're not meant to exceed 560 pixels in width on a webpage anyway, so it still looks good in 800x600. Well, I'd love to see what you can do with the Ares interface, Pallas- I can think of little which could compare thematically to the actual elements used in the game.

Reviews sound fine. That makes 3 reviewers( OV, Laguna, and you). Guess thats all the reviewers we need.
Perhaps I could convince you to write a couple articles on Hera as well? Just about interesting tricks you've found etc. You certainly did a nice job with It's War so you should know some of them
