ok people, i need your opinion on this. i just wrote a really cool and not-boring backround story for my game in pagemaker. it is 5 pages long. i was gonna have it downloadable from my website, but i don't want people stealing my story, plot ideas, ect. what do you all think?

Ok, you asked for it then. <nitpickinglevel= "high">

1. Careful with the stereotypical unpronounceable fantasy names. I mean, how do you say "Triidden" or "Mzor"? And why does CellRa have the internal capital?

2. Somehow, "Sorcerers Village" and "Sunset Town" don't really sound like "great cities" to me... nice places to visit on vacation, perhaps, but not giant metropoli.

3. Nations and their capitals probably wouldn't have the same name, unless a) it's the name of their current omnipotent despotic ruler or it's a very small country.

4. More detail will make the story a little clearer. Why was Quanerum's defeat of the dark sorceror so amazing? What was so important about those wands that they built entire fortresses to protect them? If they knew how important they were then, why did people just sorta forget about the wands for the next ~1500 years?

5. Nations all agreeing to merge and give up their sovereignty? I can't really see that happening in the real world... what was the cause of such a drastic change?

6. Why didn't anyone kill Mzor when they defeated him the first two times? Is he immortal or something?

Sounds like a good start, but try to make things a little more original, and less predictably "generic-fantasy". Keep up the hard work!

2)Well, this is a long time ago.

4)no one else could defeat the sorcerer. the wands are what gave the sorcerers lots of their power. since these sorcerers were so powerful, so were their wands. fortresses had to be built so they wouldn't fall into the wrong hands. The fortresses are hidden and no one could find them, no one "forgot".
5)because they had to make an alliance during the war, they got all nice to each other, and it just stuck.
6)because he is a REALLY POWERFUL MAIN CHARACTER that ordinary sorcerers can't kill! actually he went into hiding before they could get to him in the first 2 wars. he is just smart.

i hope that cleared some stuff up

also i know i said that the four nations are at war in the chronicles, but in my earlier post said that they had an alliance going. let me clear that up...

The Dark Sorcerer ruled Terienna but the people didn't like him. The other nations were at war with Terienna's army controlled by the dark sorcerer. The people, however, had an alliance with Bluewater and Izakannal(in the south there really weren't alliances. They just joined Landor so they wouldn't ever have to fight their now-huge army.).
