Today, I had a party with friends after school (last meeting of our club), and then went to see Episode II.

Total # of times the LucasArts logo or similar was given applause: 3
Total # of nice trailers shown: 3
Total # of named bounty hunters in movie: 3 (unless I missed one, and I'm counting little Boba)

The last 40 minutes of the movie make up for Episode I all by themselves. This film is terrific.

I'll most likely see it later today. My dad's out of town, and I haven't been able to reach him on his cell phone yet (he's on his way back, so I'll be able to see if he can come when he gets here), so I'm not sure if we'll make it at this point. If I don't see it today, I'll most likely try for tomorrow. Then sunday. Etcetera.(sp?)

Almost got a chance to see it, but not quite. Heard that Yoda does some lightsaber swinging, and that sounds very interesting. I heard he did a few aerial flips with his sword extended, and that just sounds amusing :D. I look forward to seeing it though, I've heard it's quite good from amny other people (and indeed, they too mentioned the last 45 or 40 minutes).

To me, it starts out somewhat slowly, and is only so-so for the middle part, then just kicks ass in the last 40 or so minutes.

Very, very excellent movie. Loved every bit of it. I think Anakin's romance dug to deep into the plot of the movie though

On the other hand, he's reclaimed the action sequences and sweeping, well, fun, which made the original three so great. Well done that man.

Oh, that was actually a very sensible and easily understood comment SA, thus your refusal to understand smashed my respect.

I declare myself in anticipation for the next star wars movie.

And. The special effects and everything made up for everything else. The acting was wooden of course it was wooden. Human's can't act. It would require total displacement of the sensory organs and information perception storage banks. All acting is of course, just acting... He who does not believe that someone is acting must be willingly fooling themselves.

The dialogue was either amusing or somewhat intelligent. I found some scenes of dialogue interesting, but they were rare. Not as abundant as in PM which was terrible.

You get a sense of great perspective with this film. It's no longer some backward and nigh-on insignificant world in today's version of a Microsoft anti-competitive takeover, but the entire republic under threat. Palpatine is a decent actor.

The special effects... I have said before. Lucas has a great imagination. It is unparalleled, and the only thing annoying is the glaring contrast between that and... other portions of the film. Otherwise I would give it a thumbs up, he is clearly Inspired.

The final battle with the droids in the gladiator arena and the scenes leading up to it were a tad unrealistic. But they were fun. Fun > realism. I especially enjoyed the great droid battle and it seems our droids are longer complete incompetents! Oh, the Feds still hunger after independantly minded droids who cannot operate effeciently but they are atleast complemented with some realistic ones.

Now, the Yoda-Dooku battle was only great because of the extreme anticipation building up to it. We see that Dooku is more than a match for the Good Guys, who get soundly beaten in an embarrasing fight. How we all must cheer for a 1337 Jedi master who is able to kick Dooku's ass. His dialogue is still Yoda like but without Yoda wisdom.

Those dang way-too-shiny Naboo ships return. C'mon, it's a water planet. Those things should get a little weathered.

Come to think of it, most everything looks too "clean". That was a great strength of the first trilogy - it looked "right" because it was a tad dusty/rusty/dirty.

I was in a student production of Hamlet, I'd be interested to know what you mean by 'read fricking hamlet', and please do not use that language, it seems to be annoying me of late.

Uh, ok. People who can hallucinate they're entire sensory data are very rare and often schizophrenic. So I must contend your claim that profession actors tend to do this; however, if you think you have one on hand, please say a name and I'll check them out.

Real models yielded more fruit than faking the models, but I believe they're more expensive.

Personally, I preferred Hoth anyway. Sure, lightsabers are nice, but as for the leader that ordered them into the center of the arena... pretty stupid. On Hoth, it was more interesting , just because of the tactics they were forced to use.

Of course, thanks to LotR, Hoth is nothing.

Well I can see why it's called "Clones". It's a clone of Star Wars, fiesty princesses (dressed in white), Tatoine (I never could spell this one) again, where George has his moisture farm, bugs, monsters, wafer thin story lines... and battles, big battles.
Great Stuff! The chase sequence around Corusaunt will be a classic, reminiscent of Asimov's stories. Amusing to see that it was Jar Jar Binks who started the Clone Wars!
We've all heard the story that goes something like "... there's a kid somewhere in Arkansas with two dollars in his pocket,... and George Lucas wants it!"
Well with movies like this he's welcome to my (considerably more than) two dollars to see the movie.
Clones is way better than Menace was (what can you expect with a computer generated bug as one of the main charcters...!), though the massacre of all those Jedi at the end was a bit lame. And Yoda finally got a chance to kick ass!
Has anyone noticed that Ewan McGregor is slowly transmuting into Alec Guinness.... (Could it be the force).
Empire and Star Wars are still way better, but I think Clones tops Jedi. Roll on the next one George. I must buy it on video now and go for total immersion therapy, absorb all of the dialogue...
