Yep, I sure did. I believe you just posted several hundred times, spread out across every single topic there is.

Here's an example.

Is there a reason you're bashing me for posting almost-always-relevant posts more than you? Is there a rule limiting posting? Why should I not post as much as you? Also, what is the "fair" amount of posts? Is it unfair if I post too much?

"Almost" is the key word here. But I love you all the same.
Usually, then. See my spam topic in the Banter and Brawl where someone tried to make the same point about me making posts just for the heck of it and found almost no examples and had to agree with me.
Look, I'm just annoyed. It just seems a bit unreasonable to me. It's true that you can post as much as you want, and it's true that there aren't any post restrictions. It's just that you are posting so much that you can barely tell anyone else is! It's crazy! I don't want to alienate you, but I thought someone ought to say something about it.
I don't see how it's a problem if it's relevant to the topic. It's not like my posts are totally n00bish without grammar or spelling correction. And I'm not preventing anyone from posting, either. Also, you've gotten the topic off track for the last half page. Sorry if I offend you, but I don't see why you can have a problem with it if it's relevant and spelled correctly with proper grammar. Also, you never told me to shut up and let someone else answer when I answered a question/problem you had with your TC.

That's true. It just seems ridiculus to me, sometimes, when I see how many topics you've posted in. I don't know. It's just me, probably.
Again, I don't want to offend anyone. I'll slow down the posting if that'll help.
How about this:
WHO CARES.
Post count is a record of the number of posts a user has made, not a measure of their worth to the community. 900 or 9000, it doesn't matter, even if they got there by posting "a" in every single topic they saw.
The bottom line: Cosmic, nobody cares how many posts you have. Shlimazel, nobody cares how or when he got those posts, as long as his posts are relevant. As it is, he merely edited a post that was at least on topic to add his 900 post notice, whereas you followed with a post dedicated to upbraiding him for doing so, a subject which happens to be 100% irrelevant to the topic.
In any case, it doesn't matter where you put Absolute Minimum, as long as there's nothing conflicting. Nova reads "data files" and "plug-in files" 100% identically, which is why Polycon works as a set of plug-ins. The only difference is that it loads the files in Nova Files before those in Nova Plug-ins, with the result that plug-ins override data file resources.
Incidentally, the typical problem with hyperspace sounds is that firing any weapon forces the game into X2 mode whenever the double-speed hyperspace sound (129?) is absent.
If possible, it would help if you could post your plug-in so we could take a look at it and try to determine what's wrong.

You're right. I should have kept it to myself.
Cosmic Nuisance, I'm sorry I opened my mouth. I think I must have tripped and fell in when I did so . It wasn't really right of me to go off on you about it, and I went way outside of the topic's purpose doing. So, sorry.

Try putting AbsoluteMinimum in the plugins folder. That's what I do, and I rarely have any trouble.
Tried this. Same deal. If Nova Files is empty, it crashes. If it's empty except for Nova Graphics 2 (with AM in plug-ins), everything works fine (for certain values of fine)
Edit: Whoa, my tiny little "I'm a noob, please help me" topic seems to have become the biggest warzone this side of Tichel. Err, hope it's not my fault.
As for posting the plug, I'm perfectly happy to (provided no one laughs at it's lack of polish, or it's containing of several typographical errors and placeholder graphics - it's less than a week old, after all), I just don't know where to host it (it's currently 8.1 MB)

It's where I'm hosting Nebula. And no, I don't work for them.

savefile keeps giving me an 'Extension or file type not allowed' error. /grump
Edit: So I tried sticking an extension on the end of the filename. tried a few different ones, in all cases, I now get 'Empty files not allowed'.
Edit again: I am made of stupid. I forgot to archive the file. Seems to be uploading properly now.
A reminder for anyone wanting to try it out:
You'll need AbsoluteMinimum to make this work. Put this and AM in Plug-ins, and take everything out of Nova Files -except- Nova Graphics 2.

What type of file are you using? You'll need .sitx regardless, and I know that that works on savefile.
Better than .zip.bin. Or is it .bin.zip? I forget. Of course, the whole thing is an opinionated statement in the first place...

I could go on forever about why. What's your argument?
well, I'm using plain old .zip, because that's what my computer produces when I control-click on the file and select 'Make Archive of...'
So there.
In other news, there it is:
http://www.savefile.com/files/1053824
have fun.
Edit: Link updated for (hopefully) slightly more Windows friendly encoding? (Number of Otters that know what they're doing at this stage: 0)

I don't have one. I just feel like being contrary.
@Otter: With .zip archiving windows users won't be able to play it.
