    • I've been doing some work recently (###### revision :)), and have decided to take the route of a phpBB based guide. This I have organised into the following layout:

The NTG forum consists of four sub-forums, one for each area of space with in the novaverse (Federation, Aurora, Polaris, Pirate). In each sub-forum I will post up the routes, just like they are on the website in post form. These different topics will be open for discussion on that particular route, but users aren't allowed to post new topics in these sub-fora.

Each sub-forum will have the logo of it's bearers (fedeartion standard, auroran standard, polaris standard and a pirate carrier for the pirate section) - which will make navigation easier. There is also be a 'Requests and NTG discussion' sub-forum, where people can submit trade routes of their own and request it be put up in the official guide sub-forums (again, users are not be able to post new topics in these forums, but are be able to reply to them).

You can access NTG here. It's in the 'projects' section.

      And here's an example route.

I'll be updating the guide with a route a day from now on hopefully, until I exhaust my collection of routes so far, and then it's up to you, the community to post your own routes in the 'Requests' forum 🙂

    • Hey, Ravenheart, good to hear back from you. 🆒

I just had an idea to make the example better.

It'd be nice to know what the net gain (in credits, obviously) per ton with each trip is. This way, people could compare and contrast the amount of money they're making against what they could make elsewhere.

Just a thought, but, meh. Up to you, I guess. 😛

Sounds neat, but I'm not sure it would be frequently used feature. I'll experiment, it means a hell of a lot more work though 😛

      Updates:

      - Started developing a javascript based map of the entire ev-nova universe, where you can move around the map in a window and see all the hypergate routes, systems etc.
      - Created a larger (1024x768) NTG promotional wallpaper in .jpg format, which can be found here.
      - Re-made all of the navigation maps with more accuracy
      - Started work on new theme for phpBB based NTG (it's going to be black and futuristic)
      - Started archiving files for a text based downloadable version
      - Added all 7 original trade routes from NTNG added to sub-forums which include

      Sol > Tuatha
      Sibko > Sirius
      Codehaven --> Moash
      Kania > Altair
      Europa - Earth
      Heraan Sa --> Aurora
      Tre'a Ro - Tre'ar Vano

      - Created and put in unique image for each sub-forum
      - Corrected Trade Prices error in Sibko > Sirius (Federation) route
      - Organised forum permissions to those specified in previous post
      - Started designing NTG logo

So yeah, that's it for now. I won't be doing much over the weekend due to Maths Calc GCSE exam on Monday, but prepare to be surprised, I get bored easily 🙂

    • Another suggestion came up on the official forums about specific details of enemies you might encounter along the route. One guy has done some test runs and retrieved all the percentages of pirates appearing, certain factions appearing etc.

I think what I'm going to end up doing is adding an 'Advanced Information' subtitle to each route, including the percentages info and the profit per metric tonne info too. It would keep the guide relatively simple but offer further information to those who require it 🙂

    • New NTG logo :

      Annoying glowy version:

Some progress since re-visiting evula.com's survival guide page.

      - 2 new Polaris routes
      - 1 new Rebellion route
      - Duplicated Codehaven --> Moash route across to Auroran Routes sub-forum
      - Added 'credit to' subtitle to each route, crediting the route's founder and original source.

      More to come!

    • Raven, there's one last route I need to point out: whether or not it exists is questionable, but I know I've done it.

It's similar to the Tre'a Ro -> Tre'a Vano route (in that it requires no jumps), but it's in the Ver'ashan system.

It involves trading equipment between the Ver'ash homeworld (sorry, can't remember the name) and the small Nil'Kemorya-controlled moon that orbits it. The best thing about this route is that you don't have to go out to another system to hire Cambrians or whatnot: you can do it right in-system.

There's also a wormhole in the system, so it might be feasible to bring along a fleet of Leviathans instead, and maybe trade for Luxury Goods as well (bear in mind, I haven't tried this).

But last I checked, it is a real route, though you might want to check it out for yourself. However, in order for the route to work, you need to be on very good relations with the Polaris (I think a rating of at least "Good Citizen" is needed), which is not too big a deal: just do enough United Shipping Missions and that'll put you in good standing with them.

    • I hate to double-post in this topic, but editing my last post wouldn't do it justice.

Just now, I discovered two new trade routes that take place in Fed and Polaris space.

The first is entirely in Fed space, and requires the use of Wormholes. You can load up on Luxury Goods in Xyon, wormhole to Earth, and sell the goods. Best of all, no jumps are needed and you don't lose any money to traveling. It's quite long though...

The other route involves the Wormhole in Enlightenment, but the finishing destination is somewhere entirely different. Pick up Chrotite Gas on Kismet, and Wormhole to the Ver'ashan system to sell the gas at Ver'ar Sho. Again, rinse and repeat, but the time it takes to travel from planet to wormhole to planet is rather monotonous as well...

Anyway, just wanted to let you know, Raven.

    • I've added it in under 'Polaris Routes'. It works absolutely fine, though the lux goods trading is a bit of a waste of time, seeing as the planets are so close together. In a way, this is identical to the Tre'Pirana route, just even better due to the accessibility of escorts, both hired or captured.

      Cheers Mike 🙂

    • After some further looking-into, Raven, I seem to have made an error. All you need to make sure is that all the Nil'Kemorya systems are of "Upstanding Citizen" for the Ver'ar Shan -> Ver'ar Sho route to work. sweatdrop

      Sorry about the misleading info.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm glad I could be of assistance with the routes. 🙂 If I see anymore, I'll let you know.

      Always welcome 😉

Fixed the little error, no biggy.

We now have 14 routes in NTG, and still looking for more. I'm also going to add a 'junks' list soon, notating where each junk may be sold or bought in the novaverse.

Also coming up is a section describing the pros, cons, common uses of etc. of frequenty called upon cargo freighters in EV Nova, why I recommend them etc.

Any other suggestions? Feel free to tell me 🙂

    • - Freighter Ships section (information and advice)
      - Junks (where to find them, where to sell them).

    • You should link the ship recommendations to their pages on the NSG.

Once I've made the NSG pages, yeah 🙂
