okay, I have a plugin question:
First of all: I made a plugin and gave myself a new weapon and a new ship, they are pretty powerful, and all of a sudden, tons of other ships have the custom ship that I made, and the weapon, and i am getting beat up. Hpw do I make it so only I have it?
Also:
I am going to start a TC for my own personal enjoyment, So how do i clear everything with my plugin?

Great. Well, thanks for the help, guys.
BUT:
I changed the IDs and now I can't make a new pilot. Every time I try o make a new one, or load an old one, it crashes.
BTW:
I am not sure if this really matters, but I am using the Override TC for Nova, with Cold Fusion on Windows.------------------

**Did you remove the data files? You only do that when making a TC.
Also, make sure the changes you made are in a seperate plug-in, which is in the plug-ins folder. Just check and make sure EVERYTHING is normal except the change you made.------------------

Right. All I did was change some RIDs of a ship, and 2 outfits. I looked in Data Files, changed my number to 1 munber above the last one on the Default list, and now my games chrashes.

Well, I had forgotten to change the Shan rescource, but when I did, then went to make a new pilot, it chrashed again.

Ahh, if you looked at the escape pod (895)as the last ship, and set your new ship as 896, I think that's out of the range that the engine wants ships to be. (I think 768 max ship types). Use the RID's from 415 through 894, and you shouldn't have a problem.

Right you must have an escape pod that uses the same ID as the original. Also make sure that you have a chars resource so that the computer knows what your new pilot is supposed to be equipped with.
Frankly, I would sugggest not trying to take on a TC at this time. There's a lot of little details that are necessary when replacing data files. There also just a lot of little details to making plugs in general. If you don't understand all these you're going to have a difficult time. Start small instead. Learn how things work and what does what. A good TC takes tremendous time and although that affords you time to learn, it goes much smoother if you have at least some concept of what's necessary.

As I said: this is in override Nova for windows.
The Escape pod ID is 191, os i put my ship at 192, but it doesn't work.
I can't make a character resource because Windows Nova doesn't have it
HELP!!

Sorry, dude. I missed that part about Override, so my suggestion made little sense.

Edit: I'm on Windows as well, and you CAN use the char resource. You just can't have a choice of chars. You can edit the default char in any way you choose, and it will work just fine.
