So we've got a little problem here. I've lost all backup copies of Saber Studios, including the server file. But regardless, I still intend to put all the SS content (primarily graphics) back online through (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula's(/url) website, the (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")Lair(/url). I will no longer be running the website myself, but you can instead download the files at one of many (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula service stations(/url) near you once everything is worked out. But I'll need everyone's help; anyone who has content that you downloaded from Saber Studios. If you do, I would request that you send these files to the SS backup address:

saberstudiosbackup@evula.net

We don't want any copies, just original files in the same condition as you found them when they were downloaded. Ships (complete with all the comm, shipyard, 3/4 and top sprite, icon, 3/4 and top masks), Outfits (again complete with all graphics), 3D models, textures, planets, landscape scenes... anything! We want to make those graphics available for the community once again. We'll even accept the old Azdara and Zachit ship sets, if anyone still has them.

It was a very popular graphic resource website when it was online.

I had intentionally deleted my site from the server in order to update it with a newer version, but then the same files on my hard drive got erased. That leaves me empty-handed.

Many of the members on these forums have downloaded just about all the graphics at SS, so I'm sure we'll manage. I'm just hoping people will take the time to e-mail the files.

Didn't EVula mention a little while back (like right around when you came back) that he had everything from your site backed uo on an archive tape or something?

that's something I never get. Why would you take everything off the site? Whenever I revamped my site I would just put up an under construction site as the index, but leave everything there, that way you know you have a backup.

I really wish SaberStudios would come back as it's own site, it was nicely organized.

I have stuffed at least 9 files of some of the original 3D models. The problem is, is that my yahoo account doesn't seem to recognize the format of sea.hqx when I was trying to attach it. Is there another compression format that I could use?

Heh, Eeun's Shipyard has been there for well over a year (2-1-2001 was when it officially "arrived" at mine).I hope to soon be revamping the entire Shipyard, to better utilize some templates that I've built in the many years (no joke) I've been working on the site... actually, the entire Shipyard's look and purpose will get an overhaul, making it a better resource for plugin developers (and of course, further entrench my site into the community...).

Also, I got your 3 emails, Coraxus. Thank you very much, the list for me to put on the Saber Studios site will be much smaller because of you.

Perhaps one day; I never dumped the idea. But for now, I have more priorities on my mind.

I also think many of the 'Fed and Rebel ships were junk... they didn't seem to be the best they could be. All I need to do now is finish learning Cinema 4D.

Oh , what happened to the ship contest? I just finished the ship when you disapeared. Never had a chance to post it here, cause I lost my space at f2s.com (when the free services stopped). So I dont post anymore here.
Anyway, do you need just your ship graphics from your SS site (sorry to hear you lost it), or any graphics that were on your site. I mean, do you want me to sent the landscapes images again. I think I have more then 100 landscapes made with MojoWorld already (that sucks that I can`t show it here anymore).

I've been gone for a few months, mostly because of computer classes and school studies. And it just so happens that the day I delete my entire website off the server to reorganize and update things, I lose my backup copy on my hard drive (grrrrrr). Man, you talk about being upset... All that work down the tubes. In addition, this all happened just days before the deadline for the graphics competition... :frown: I really feel like I've let everyone down.

I'm looking for anything, including your superb landscape work (your landing pics made up about half of the SS section for the subject). Submit what you like. But whatever you do, just do EVula a favor by sizing the images to appropriate sizes for the EV, EVO, or EVN engines... He's busy, and probably can't find the time to do it himself. Also stuff any files you submit. If you can do that, then shoot off some of your graphics. We all loved 'em. Not only that, but they would be a great addition to EVula's Empire.

Don't worry about it if it's going to be a problem... but please do so if you have the time.
