I've decided to give making a total conversion plugin a try, basing it heavily on original Escape Velocity, but using the EVO engine and all it's juicy enhancements. i've got most all the graphics I could ever want (Though I miss the Laertian/Bra'Kell graphics, which I used to have a set of. Anyone got a full set?) but I'm missing something... I need some space stations.

Specifically, I'm looking for a drydock and/or shipyard type pic. Star Trek has the best examples of both, if you need an example. I'd also prefer if the graphic was larger than average (No such thing as too big. I can always shrink it to fit.)

Does anyone have or can make something like this?

OK, finished. What do you think?

You didnt specify any colors so I made it the color that suited best (red). The above image is pretty dark as I used more realistic lighting in it but the ones for the plug-in are much brighter and vibrant. I am quite pleased with this one, being my first station. Has a kind of UE look to it.

Duh. I didn't say i was doing an EV EVO. I SAID I was doing a total conversion plug that had elements similar to original EV. For instance, the Aliens and the Confederation will be there. But the graphics will be different, there will be more races (And no Rebellion. This is a kinder gentler Confederation). Basically I'm going to include little things that harken back to both EV and EVO.

Excellent! Would it be possible to get it in blue? My Confed ships use Confed Blue quite heavily. If the rings were blue the station would be perfect!

Okay, I've got several ideas:

One is just a large framework, like the one seen in Star Trek the Motion Picture, and re-used and modified for just about every other Star Trek movie. The ship would sit inside and be worked on.

The second is more elaborate. Basically an elaborate spider's web of branching arms, each ending in a contruction rig (of varying sizes).

The third is a modification of the first, except enlarged so that it could accomodate several ships at once.

I don't watch Star Trek so I'm not sure what kind of station you are talking about but if you want I can give this one for a landing pict
