    • lol Um, well it's not ENTIRELY done, I still need to write a few more paragraphs, and revise it a tiny bit, then it'll be ready. . . .

      THIS JUST IN:
Construction on my website has begun. ALL of my work that I've done is going to be there, as well as a Contact and About section. When I'm finally done with it, I'll let you in on the address. ^_^

Why does everyone have some quasi-amusing quote at the end of their signature file?

    • NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:
Hello again, everyone. We've conquered all to make this the biggest comments segment of any story in the chronicles. (Whoo-hoo.)

Now, here is the deal: Chapters 8 and 9 have been sent in to here, and if you want you can wait to read them to come into here or you could just go to Invalid Directory's Override section and read them:
      (url="http://"http://www.grybs.com/evo/stories.html")http://www.grybs.com/evo/stories.html(/url)

Chapter 10 is done now, and since I've written about 4 chapters in the last week, I'm a little worn out, so I'll take a break. I'll just get back to work in a few more days. I'm really eager to get this book done so I can move onto The Renegade Conspiracy. The reason I'm in such a wanting hurry is that I have the most perfect beginning first few chapters for the next Docmother book.

Also, if you're looking for more news in the Docmother segments, then you'll be happy to know that GS Creation, the most disgraced plug-in group of them all, is finally back to work on Docmother. Greg Frank has been fired, and removed from our group. Our new member and I are getting back to it now as a two person effort just as it's always been. I know that several of you believe that this plug will never make it, not in a million years. The answer to that is: YOU'RE PROBABLY RIGHT. But, we're not going to give up. We're gonna keep on trying.
Bottom line is that if you like the books so far, you'll love the plug. That is of course, if we get it made. It will include several new ships, from the books, and also out of the books. Even the famously described TF-22 (Jade's ship in A Hidden Legacy.). As well as the Defender A.K. which is most commonly known as The Surmount, Doc's ship.

"GS Creation will do something someday, but until that happens, enjoy laughing at us, and don't forget Aeon. And and BTW, folks: HONOR ATMOS."

    • I'm back! I've gotten more done, but could you send me chapter 10? Thanks.

      ------------------
      <font color="gold">Bronze: the other gold metal.</font>

    • I'll be sending you chapter 10 once chapter 11 is done. This way I'll be sending 2 chapters to you, the chronicles, and James.

      ------------------

    • Whew! I'm more popular than before in the EVO community now that A Hidden Legacy, and the Docmother story are well known throughout about 4 10ths of the community. Several have heard about it, and some of you out there have even read all of my released EVO work.

      LATEST DOCMOTHER HEADLINE: =P

      DOCMOTHER
BY: GS CREATION MEMBERS SCOTT LEE AND JOHN LARAWAY
STATUS: GRAPHICS AND SHIP DESIGN--Approx. 8% Complete
DESCRIPTION: The Voinians and United Earth forces have been battling for years. As the war wages, the Voinians eventually get the upper hand. Meanwhile a hidden Ancient government lies hidden by jamming technologies far into the east of space. Rumors spread, and eventually United Earth discovers the incredible technology of the force, Docmother, a new empire that has been practicly destined to detroy the Voinians. When Docmother and U.E. team up, the Voinians unleash their best and most horrible weapon yet. . .

BTW, Phoenix, if you're reading this, you might want to post up this info for your Upcoming Plug-ins Log/Guide or whatever. mm k?

The plug-in will co-relate with the books in several different ways. Even adding one large mission string that will go along with events that happen in the middle of The Renegade Conspiracy. No, it's not even made yet, I know, but by the time the plug-in has been completed and come out that story will have been started and be released shortly after the plug's completion.
Of course, the plug-in will not go along PERFECTLY with the books, it will have the overall images of the ships that I've had in my head for sometime now. It will also have special dudes and fleets that allow you to see certain character's ships. For example, there is going to be a dude file that makes Jade and his ship show up, allowing you to hail him, etc. All the standard things.
If any of you thought or were even hoping that this exp. plug that was at it's heart an interactive novel, you were wrong. All this will be doing is adding Docmother and possibly the Karticel as new beings in the EVO universe, with several new missions, and special galaxy-wide transport missions for experienced pilots.

The TF-22 and Defender A.K. have been nearly completed graphic wise, and will be enter their final stages soon. The Janus Docmother courier vessel has been sketched out and will be scanned shortly as well. I'm Jake101, your insider on the glider. (Whatever.)

    • Yes... I've been speaking with John the Corpse about that...

I'm not gonna give you my definite opinion on whether or not it'll work out, rather, I'll wait until I've seen some more of the graphics/descs/layout. If you need any help (for smaller things please, I haven't really got time to join you completely) then I'll be glad to offer it. Graphics/Writing/Resourcing - you got it. The only thing I can't/won't do is sound effects.

      Adios...

    • Thank you Grybs, I'll keep you in mind if I need your help. Oh, and BTW, I hear that you and "John the Corpse" are in fact making your own plug-in company very soon. How's that coming along?

    • Yes...

      Harzius Productions.

We're working on a Top Secret project. I can't tell you any more, because it's Top Secret. Heh. As yet, I'm still working on the story parts. So Mr. Stiff can't help you out much either...

But I hope your Docmother plugin makes it. If it's successful, perhaps Harzius could release some kind of sequel? But this project of ours may yet take us some time...

Why does everyone have some quasi-amusing quote at the end of their signature file?

      I am not afraid.

    • Well, back in the original creation of the project (Summer of 98), there were several ideas floating around, even the interlinked outfits and properties of galaxyclassoverride going into the Docmother plug-in. The entire Docmother group of components, plotlines, elements, and concepts have been floating around for a good 2 years.
Docmother, as well as Docmother 2 were 2/3 of the first original GS Creation projects. In fact, the Docmother plug-in was supposed to be released March of this year from the work of Greg Frank and I. However, when looking for new members to GS Creation, John came to me and said he was willing to help. So, hypnotized by my girlfriend for the first month of him coming to me I finally came to talking to him on AIM one day.
As for the interaction of involvement of gxoverride and it's properties are gone. Docmother 2 has been lying in the dark depths of my mind. In fact, A Hidden Legacy and it's story in entirety were written in order to promote the "upcoming" Docmother plug-in and it's ideas. Then once March came, Greg was not answering. So, I started writing Jade's Return to keep the people interested in Docmother, as well as to give me something to do. Jade's Return was, and still basicly is another promotion to Docmother.
But not only that, opon the plugs completion, I'm thinking about either firing several people in the group, hiring fresh new members, or me simply leaving it and abandoning it all together. IMO, GS Creation is next to Aeon, an even worse diasaster that could have been something better in the beginning. With the dedication and the way John works, I have a feeling you'll be luckier than me. 😃
Not only that, the possibility of a sequel is out there, and in fact could be done IF I'm not off to pursue my first career: writing. However, even if I am off to do it, if my 5th book doesn't work then I'll come back to the workshop to begin more practice. However, I'm really getting sicker and sicker of the Docmother story to be honest. So I may or may not go into doing a plug-in sequel. If I do, I will of course want to do at least one story about the sequel.

    • You're telling me...

John the Corpse is running me ragged... I guess to be fair, I'm slacking a bit. I think his problem is that he really, really loves graphcs design.

      So do I!

But before i get into it, I'll have to finish the outline plans for the plug, right? But he's at me like a slave-driver, heh.

Glad to hear Docmother's coming along well. I hope it doesnt' die... but if it ever does - you know my emaila address... perhaps we can ressurect it.

Hell, John's got experience in that at least... heh.

Wonder if he's sick of my corpse jokes yet?

    • Okay, well, just to answer a few questions: Yes, I do realize that this has practicly become my own personal message board. lol I'm very thankful for what this comment section has become too.

Now, as for Chapter 10, it will be easier if once I finish Chapter 11, that's when I send both 10 and 11 over to three different places: Talos, Chronicles, and Grybs. This way it's easier for me to keep track, and not so much suspense for the readers. Sound good? Good. (If ya don't like it, just try to chill. 🙂 )

Now, I don't know how long it will take for people to notice all of the crud that has been posted here, but I'm sure that if anyone besides just me, Talos, and Grybs sees it, they'll flip at how many posts there are.
ANYWAY! Chapter 11 should be done within the next few weeks, plus not only that, keep in mind that I'm pretty busy with the Docmother plug, school, my g/f, etc. . . .So, just to tell you people, that you do need to be patient with me and my work. Docmother is coming along a little slower than originally restarted. Oh, and BTW, Grybs, I've decided to just screw the e-mail and ask,

DO YOU WANT TO HELP US WITH DOCMOTHER?

      --Scott/Jake101

      ------------------

    • Uhh... I have some important other news, I have everything in DOCMaker format. I have buttons which allow you to switch between chapters at the end of each chapter, along with formatting, and a cool white-text on dark-blue background that's easy to read. As DOCMaker creates its own applications, it will be able to open on any mac, and will not be editable.

As for the message board, if you want to keep the number of messages down, delete old posts. I'll start doing that....

Grybs, would you want to see what I've done so far? Since Scott/Jake can't, maybe you could?

I posted some exciting news, but it's on the next page.
