I'm working on a Star Trek plug-in. There is a small team for this (at the time). The graphics are for the most part done. I already have these species ships: Humans, Kligons, Romulans, Cardassians, Ferengi, Voth, Krenim, Species 8472, Borg, Bajorian, and the Jem Hadar.

Each vessel and space station etc... is high detail movie quality. Really cool stuff!

At this point, the Bajorian arsenal is only the stellar sail ship, and the Ferengi have their all famous D'Kora ship. Impulse raiders, and Assault Vessels are still needed for the Bajorian.

I come posting this for two reasons.
1. If there are anymore ships out there that you wanted added (that you have collected or worked on), please send it to me and I'll incorporate it into the game and address the corresponding credits to that person.
2. I have one good plot for the game (along with several other subplots), but I still need more plots for other species and details. Any suggestions for plots I will review here. I'd really appreciate the the help.

By the way. Kwanza: You (as I recollect) are working on a Star Trek plug too. Did you have any interests in helping me out here?

Whatever happened to White Star Rising? That was the finest ST plug I ever saw, but nothing seems to have come of it.

And how would you overcome the practical difficulties of adapting Star Trek to the EV/O engine? The universe and technologies are essentially incompatible.

ColdFusion: The star trek universe can be easily imatated through the EVO engine. I've found many substitutes that act and work the in the fashion needed. I never heard of white star rising. Where can I get a look at it?

Andrew: 8 megs, huh? What's taking up most of the space so far (and please don't include the size of the intro music)?

I wish you luck, but what graphics program are you using for your ships? LWO, MAX2 etc... ? Just wondering about the quality.

1. Mostly graphics.

2. We're using Mechanisto, and the graphics are damn good.

57 ships, a lot of Fed ships, all Romulan ships, all Klingon ships, 3 Jem'Hadar ships, I thinks that's all for them, a Breen Cruiser, all Borg ships, 4 Cardassian ships, 2 Bajoran ships, the 8472 organic ship, a lot of other stuff. Galaxy currently at 200+ systems with about 80 spobs. Other stuff is pretty rough, but heh, I'm gettin there. If you want help, I am willing to help. How about me taking a peek at some of your ships?

The Maquis Raider is done, very good too, I think, and the Bajoran Attack ship is roughly being modeled right now.

The Federation doesn't have a monetary system anymore - the hard capitalism of the EV engine is incompatible. Warp drive - let's not think about it. Starships are huge and heavy - over a million tons. There's no formal map of all the systems visited. There are huge amounts of other issues, too - it just seems impractical, though possible.

It was 11:30 at night and I was tired.

Anyway, before any of this discussion turns into a competition or a race or even an argument... I was thinking about maybe (and that's a very wobbly one) joining forces. Its a thought that came to mind, and so I'm writing it down just in case you are interested.

Personaly, I'd rather not have to report to anyone. And I really don't know how your plug-in storyline and galaxy is going to see if yours is compatible with mine. But, joining forces was just something to chew on for a while (which reminds me, I should be getting breakfast right about now). Till next post.

Interesting, and note that Andrew M doesn't speak for me, the doer of everything in the plug so far. I do not see this as any competition, not meanig you're no competition, but not a race or anything like that. Just keepin it REAL.
As for the story, I doubt It'll be compatible because I have changed ours, or dare i say, my ST story numerous times. Just waiting for Andrew to get those landings in. Andrew M will help, when missions come around.
As for the Joining of Forces, you'll have to let me see your plug first, and visa versa.

I forgot to tell you, I also have the Maqui, Kazon, and several other minor species and ships. Something else, kinda stange that you have andrew working mostly on graphics on your side, and that Titus (a friend of mine) is working on graphics on my side. (almost a mirror image).

As for joining forces, I think I've decided that it would be best not to join in any case. You already have your ships and storyline made, and I already have my ships and storyline made. The best I think we could do is every now and then give tips or recent ideas to each other. Although, I don't even forsee that happening. But keeping it in a friendly basis is probably what I'm thinking of.

Lastly, I still would like to see some of your graphics. I'm curious to see how well you're coming.

Ok..note again that Andrew M did not do graphics. I did them all. He'll eventually do missions. I'll e-mail you about the ships soon, maybe some screen shots. You'll have to show me your stuff too though.

Our Galaxy is almost finished, 200+ systems, and I still have to build the Delta Quadrant. The Layout is simple. Just place the 4 Quandrants in order of how the appear. Most maps show Gamma (top LEft) Delta (top right) Alpha (bottom LEft) and Beta (bottom Right. Pretty simple. The hard part is knowing the system names and where they go and stuff. I did researsch on ST systems and found lists of systems, areas, ETC and placed them on to the map. I guess that'll be ok. Other then that, I'm guessing the System total to be around 300-400 systems when totally finished.
