How come the buttons that are being used on this site (like the new topic and reply buttons) aren't used in EVO? Is there a plug with it?

I don't think that "New Topic" is ever an option in Override.

Seriously guys. Couldn't someone work just a tinny ity-bit more on the EVO buttons? For most of the evo interface upgrade plugs, I haven't seen much improvement. But that style (How do you do italics in here?!) on the buttons is much more appealing. It looks a lot more like the new Apple 10 System.
Just a thought.

Actually, my plug-in does all that and more (and it's got cooler buttons than the web board's, IMNSHO). It's called EV Target Graphics Pro, and is available at the Lightning Bolt web site.

They're not as cool as the Aqua interface, though.

As a matter of fact, I'm making a plug-in of my own as well. They aren't 3Dimensionally rendered, but they sure are better than the ones on the interface that evo comes with.
I did try EVO Buttons. Sad to say, although I did think that they were nice and sleek, the buttons were too tacky for my tastes. They just didn't seem to fit in.
One last thing. May I please see this 'aqua interface' you mentioned?
Zeta
P.S.
How do you get the quotes under the dashes at the end of the post?
------------------
You mean a signature? Click "Profile" at the top of this screen, and it's pretty intuitive from there. Just fill out the signature form.

The Aqua interface he's talking about is the radical new look in Mac OS X. Just go to (url="http://"http://www.apple.com/macosx/")The Mac OS X web site(/url).
And the quotes are set in your member preferences that you set when you first signed up.

Well, there are some Aqua thingies for Mac OS 8/9 already.
There was some kinda aqua theme out. It really sucked, the icons weren't that hot and the location of the buttons wasn't even right. There were in the same old place..
I have a Kaleidoscope scheme that makes it as close to Aqua as one can get. I even have Internet Explorer 5.0 (for macintosh), so it feels like I am on the computer of the future (6 months into the future though

I made the buttons; I wouldn't have a problem making replacement buttons for EV/EVO if you want them.

I would GLADLY dump my scheme I've been working on if you could whip them up. So, Yes! Definetly! Please do them.

Obsidian Buttons is a pair of free plugins: one for Escape Velocity called "EV Obsidian Buttons" and one for EV Override called "EV Override Obsidian Buttons." They both provide replacement graphical buttons for the respective games; you may prefer them to the originals.

They don't look quite as good as I'd like, because 25 pixels isn't tall enough for the effect to really work (and having to dither them to the System Palette doesn't help either). However, I'm fairly happy with them -- I think they look better than the originals.
Had I known how many bloody buttons there were (and how many different sizes), I wouldn't never have agreed to do them.
