I currently have a UE destroyer and have 3 shield boosts, 3 of the turrunts that shoot out yellow in a straight stream, I forgot the name of them, and one of the very short range missile launchers that kills shields. I have just enough space and I'm saving up for a crecent fighter bay. I'm not registered and need some advice with what warship I should buy and how and where to outfit it. Now this must be somewhat cheap, 9 mil. is about the max for the initial ship with captian hector always stealing my credits. I would also like a ship with room for a fighter bay of any kind. Also I don't know where any systems are so please tell me the name and general location. Thanks sooooo much

For nine millions you can get a crescent warship and it comes with a fighterbay.
For 5 millions you can get the Zidara, if you do the Zidagar objective.

The CW can be bought at Mira, and you can join the Zidagars at Pozdaq-3, a bit north and to the right of Mira.
And remember to register EVO, it's worth it

If you have a crescsent Warship, I normally sell the Crescent fighters an d the bay.

1. It gives you loads of more weapon space
2. Crescent fighters suck (low shields, low damage)
3. You get a bit of money

Please don't post twice in a row, just edit your post. Yes captian hector is a pain in the ass but I want to know where to get a good cheap ship and where and how to outfit it. Not what you do to other ships. Personally I like crecent fighters, but UE are the favorite that I've seen . Unfortunitely I've only seen 4 types of fighters :redface:

I'm not interested in the number of fighters you have seen, or what ones you like or not :frown: I want to know where i can find a cheap (9 mil. is max) (yes I know about crecent warship) preferably around 6 mil warship that has more shields and armor than my UE destroyer and I would also like to note that I LOVE carriers or ships with fighter bays.

Also I need to know where to find good things to outfit my new ship with and where to find them.

P.S. if I need to do any missions for a certain government to access their tech please tell me where I can get those missions and what are the mission requisites

If you have a good combat rating, you can grab the UE Crusier mission at New Taranto in UE space, the ship is quite expensive, but pretty nice.
If you can't afford it, the only capital ships within your reach is the Zidara and the CW.

why dont you fly around and find missions, ships, etc., this is aka playing the game.

and why not pay for it?

I am flying around and am currently exxploring the upper left area of the galaxy. I go to every bar on every planet with my UE destroyer, "frightening" combat rating, and small escort fleet of arada's but I havn't gotten any missions. Also I havn't found any ships for sale other than the CW and the other 3 that are usually sold at the same port. I would like to know where I can get a mission to ally myself with a government so I can get their ships and tech.

Well now I have my lazira instead of my old beautiful UE destroyer. The speed is nice but the destroyer had MUCH better shields and armor. I had to swich to do the high speed deliveries though.

I'v been doing several missions for some alien groups but havn't gotten any new ships or tech possibilities I'm about to try to grab the UE cruiser sometime today. I hope I don't have to be registered to get it.

It's difficult for anyone to predict what type of your ship matches your style when you haven't made many comments on it. However, in your price range, the Lazira, Crescent Warship and Zidara are all reasonable vessels. The Crescent warship can be quite expensive to outfit (I spend over twelve million buying and outfitting them), but its complement of three Crescent fighters may suit you quite well, and it's a well lasting, powerful vessel. The Lazira is a balance between fighter and warship, in my opinion. Used in the way that one might use a warship, it won't last very long, but it's able to utilise fighter tactics against larger vessels (of course, if you don't like using fighter tactics, then the Lazira probably isn't the best ship for you.) In addition, it's lacking in space for a fighter bay without compromising its own power.

The Zidara would probably suit you quite well. They are destroyer escorts used by the Zidagar (located east and north-east of Miranu space, which is located directly north of U.E space), and carry two Zidagar fighters (which is at least the joint second best fighter in the game not including those with the exp. shield generator - before you ask, the best is the Zachit fighter, and not available as personal ship, escort or fighter.) The Zidara is not best used as a brute force ship, however, and its fighters will generally require you to support them.

The three deadliest fighter-carriers in the game are the U.E. carrier (not suited to anything but deploying fighters, and available priar to the Dreadnought mission), the U.E. cruiser (same fighter complement as the U.E. carrier, but more powerful in its own right) and the Azdgari warship (used by the Azdgari, further east than the Zidagar.) The first is accessable through the main U.E. string, the second through completing a branch-off of the main U.E. string available at New Taranto, and the third can only be used as your own ship if you disable, board and capture one.

Also, "Frightening" is not a combat rating in EV:O.

I like the SAD modules (Search And Destroy)
I usually sell the fighters and the bay. Then i use th space for extra long distance weapons (missiles, rockets)

Crescent warships are excellent as ecorts. Just in case you can usurp Miranu systems. Youd normally end up with a few Crescent Warship Bounty hunters on youre back once you dominated them.
What I dont like is that they keep coming a,d coming andcoming nd coming and coming and coming and coming even though you already killed loads.(thats how I got my 3 crescent warship escorts)

I got mu UE crueser and it is NICE I like the felling of a big ship and I don't mind the loss of speed and meanuverability. But some things are bothering me.

I added a crecent fighter bay, have 3 phase turrents and 2 blaze turrents I also have a pursuit millile launcher and get about 26,000 per day from my conquered planets. My question is where can I find the neutron turrents I've heard about and are there any other missiles I should get.

I have 5 CW escorts and a Lazira escort and Am still curiose about if the adzgari warship of the ishiman flying dildo are better than my cruiser and whether or not I should capture one instead. Also what upgrades should I add,

The UE Cruiser is probably the best ship in the game. An Adzgari warship is not as good as the cruiser.
You have to complete the Vonian mission string to be able to get the neutron turret. SAD modules and a ton of needle missles would be good addition to your arsenal.

OK Beeblebrox, I just got to the point ehre I can get the Igadzra and with my UE cruiser trade in value of 12 mil and my 15 mil saved up I now have that with all engin upgrades 4 shield boosts and am going to try and capture a vionian planet so I can get Neutron turrents for it. The thing that bothers me is it's low armor as with my cruiser once the enemy ships got me down to armor they couldn't do jack Sh!t I have heard of dolcimer armor and am wondering how to obtain some of this wonerful substance. Also I would like to know where the expirimental shield generator is so my Igadzra Ie. Dildo ultimate will be even stronger
