Lavrii - A race of bipedal reptile-like beings, the Lavrii appearance makes them look something like a skink, or a kind of small lizard from Earth. They have bright, reflective blue eyes, and though they stand only an average 5' 7" inches high, they can be extremely fierce and violent if cornered or caught, and can emit a very annoying high pitched shriek if grabbed. Their ships have large amounts of somewhat unusual weapons, but sadly the average Lavrii population for a planet is only 500 million, and due to the lack of good ground-weapons or ground-fighting capabilities, the Lavrii nearly went extinct trying to ward off Akrahd stormtroopers. Thus, they created the Vaesk; a race of biogeneically engineered superwarriors. Normally peaceful, the Lavrii economy is large and prosperous, and they are shrewd businessmen.
Vaesk - A race of biogenetically engineered superwarriors, the Vaesk were created by the Lavrii to be their elite ground warriors. They are a combination of Lavrii intellegence and speed, Akrahd durability and appearance, and Naeron strength. Capable of carrying over a hundred pounds of weapons at a time, the Vaesk have been known to be hit by Neutron Railgun bolts and survive. Swift and powerful, the Vaesk have huge, sharp, serrated teeth and skin that in itself is almost completely laser-proof. They recover quickly from any wound, and their blood clots amazingly fast, making sure that blood-loss is kept to a minimal. They sight and hearing is extremely keen, and some elite troopers have even been given the ability to change the color of their skin at will.
They also seem to have the ability to detect the electromagnetic signature of nearby animals, much like the Shark from Earth, which can sense the electric charge of nearby fish. The Vaesk have no difference between male and female because they have no need to reproduce naturally (they are instead cloned in large numbers by the Lavrii), require very little food, and almost no sleep (though they sleep and rest as much as they can to make sure they are fully prepared for battle). The Lavrii also specially engineer some Vaesk with extra abilities; special operations soldiers are sometimes given the ability to change skin color, assault troopers are given tougher skin, scouts are given better hearing and vision, etc.
Naeron - The Naeron are large beasts which roam the Lavrii homeworld. They are in-essence very large reptiles, much like the monitor lizard. On average they are 18 feet long, and the Lavrii often hunt these dangerous and powerful beasts for sport. The Lavrii also used some of their genetic code for use in their Vaesk Superwarriors.
