Hello, I'm new to this board, though I have been playing EVO for a while (just registered actually, got a bit tired of the Cap'n). I just have a few questions.

Is there anything extra in the sample plug-in that comes with the EVO download?

Is it possible to abort missions in which you defend systems without making their government hate you?

Are there any missions involving the Council Station?

How do you get renegade missions (or is it possible without plugins)?

Is the Igazra really the best ship in the game?

What are some of the best plugins available?

Not really.

Not in the basic game, but there are plenty with plugs.

I think if you go to Freeport with deadly or better combat rating there is a %12 recurrance rate of the Captains of Freeport string. If you want to fight the renegades, get a dangerous combat rating and hang around the UE system bars, you'll undoubtedly get some.

Is the Igazra really the best ship in the game?

In my opinion, it is.

What are some of the best plugins available?

Go to the plugs page, there are too many good plugs for me to name here.

Welcome to the boards.

There is nothing special about that plug-in, except it has the correct file configurations for aspiring developers to make it into a plug-in that HAS something.

Aborting defense missions are possible. However, it's sorta like being a bodyguard who deserts.

You can pick up a delivery to Council Station, but that's about it. There are a number of plug-ins that have missions involving the Council, though. Plug-ins can be found at the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/evo/addons.html")EVO addons section(/url).

There are some missions for the North Tip renegades, as well for the Human renegades. I think there might be some for the South Tip renegades, but I can't remember for sure.

The best ship in the game is the ship you do best with. Some people prefer ships such as the Azdara, while others like the power of the Igazra. Still others prefer other ships - it's all about personal preference.

Just off of the top of my head. At the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/evo/addons.html")EVO addons section(/url), there is a little box that has the most popular plug-ins in it. Chances are that those are worthwhile.

Actually, the human renegade missions start on Iothe Prime, and I think the North Tip renegades start in Hrekka. I don't think there are any South Tip renegade missions.

Sorry, I'm also new here, and since the registration won't take my only email addy (it's Mac.com), I can't post a new message.

(Which is kinda silly--I've registered on other UBBs in the past, and haven't had this problem--whatever).

Anyway, I accepted the bounty hunter mission to find Terra's Dark Foe, but I have no clue as to finding it. I've blown up several of the herion's that follow me sector-to-sector with no luck.
