I've totally re-done the homepage and other portions of Saber Studios, so pay a visit and tell me what you think. If you have a slow connection, the site will take roughly 23.7 years to load. I plan on moving the website to my dad's swift server soon, however, so that should fix the slow loading speed.

I like it a lot. I just wish you had spent your time coming up with the new graphics set.

As for moving it to your dad's fast server, I would suggest doing that ASAP. As of late, F2S has been rather slow.

I tried to load the page but when my connection said it was complete, the page was just black, pitch black. I know it's not my connection because its a hasty DSL and we live very close to the provider (pets dsl) Why would this be happening?

Glad you like website. Don't worry, I'll find some time to work on additional set graphics...

As for f2s' lack of speed, I completely agree. It takes me 7 to 8 seconds to load the index of Saber Studios with a cable connection (which really is a long time compared to what I'm used to). I'll just use the old saberstudios address as a redirect page once I get some space at my dad's server...

Macavenger reported the some problem over at the EV forum. After he tried viewing the page in OmniWeb, it worked fine...

Are you using Netscape? This is usually the problem... Netscape has a hard time loading my websites, much less aligning the images correctly. Internet Explorer should work just fine.

It loaded up perfectly, it took maybe a second, i dont even think that. It looks nice but for some reason, the main page looks a little off-centered. Anywho, im still anxiously waiting the UE sprites (to look at)

off-centered? It shouldn't, unless you are on a PC or using AOL.

The United Earth set is currently on hold (as posted in the Saber Studios news). I haven't made anything for the EV community yet, so I've decided to design a Confederation Graphic set before going on...

Very nice setup, Skyblade. Personally I haven't had any connection problems though; it only took 5 to 6 seconds on my 56k connection.

Well, a Confederation set should be relatively easy for you, Skyblade, as you already have several redone Confed spaceship models (two types of Fighter, modified Confed Frigate and modified Confed Cruiser, Confed Freighter) Ditto for the Rebels (Heqavy Cruiser, Cruiser, Destroyer, Manta, Freighter.

So you have put the UE Expansion set on hold for the moment? Howmany ships have you made so far in that set? (You mentioned in the EV Developer's forum that would made a bloze cannon.) Could you please do the EVO community a little favor and post a picture with one or several of your new UE ships?

Also, your website, at least the homepage, is a nice, big black screen.

Actually, I'm going to make the Confederation set from scratch. My old vessels are pretty much junk, so I'd like to start over. It will take some time, but I'll pull through.

I completed the United Earth Fighter (though I am still having problems getting it to spin correctly), along with a Blaze Cannon and Turret. I'll try posting a graphics of one of those sooner or later.

So you're getting a big, black screen at Saber Studios? Hehe, it's the browser that is causing the problem. If you have Internet Explorer, try using it, and see what kind of results you get.

Well, I actually underestimated the load time a bit (I know this cause I went in again to check my own claim), probably twice as long is about right. So 12-13 seconds.

The browser I was using at the time was Internet Explorer 5. Haven't tried it with Netscape, though it is on my comp.

Alright then, that all sounds about right. I'm just very surprised that you got away with loading Saber Studios in around 12 seconds... Not only is a 56k modem lucky to load the website in such a short matter of time, but f2s is just plain slow...

Honestly, I even reloaded the page to be certain. It took practically no time at all - less than on most sites, most take around 10 seconds, and I actually counted.

Nice work Skyblade! One thing... if anyone wants to download a graphics set and use them, won't they need sprite masks? I didn't see them among the things available for download. Maybe I just didn't notice 'em?

BTW... I noticed no download speed problems - don't worry about it!
