Heh, seriously though, I thought EVN would be coming out any week now so I figured registering a game that would be outdated just a little while later was pointless. Turns out that isn't true, so I'll probably be registering in the next couple of months.

Quick note: It's easy to avoid registering if you just delete the register file. EVO checks for 5-15 seconds, states it can't be found, and continues playing. You might want to add a safegaurd for this is EVN.

(Did I just giving an anti-pirating tip? Hmm..I've changed)

You should still support us if you enjoy Mac games, not to mention the fact that it's only fair to pay for what you've gotten pleasure from.

How would you feel if this web board, all of our games, and all of our upcoming games (EV Nova too) just disappeared because people who played our games never paid for them? It's a very real possibility.

Certainly don't pay for anything you don't like (but tell us what you don't like) -- but if you played EV or EVO for years and never paid for it, shame on you.

I'll confess it, the registration i'm using for Ares isn't mine (yeah andrew, you had me pegged :)). I do have the money to register, but i just wish i could pay with all that cash i got in Paypal! I don't know how i can do it through credit card right now. Anyway, just so you know i do intend to register and a good way to thank me would be that custom title i've been hoping for...

Oh, gee Alan. I'm sorry i didn't immiediately jump at the chance to pay more money to re-register Ares because it changed publishers. It's obscene i should have to at all, and morally i don't, but i'm freaking willing to do so. Can nobody understand that? I am WILLING to pay for the game again ONLY because Ambrosia contributed it's name and marketing to it and ONLY because i care about Ambrosia as a whole to do so.

I have spoken with Crawler and i see that i wasn't well enough educated on the transfer of ownership of Ares to hold my justification. Therefore i will gladly hold my original position in paying for Ares. However, i know i can still expect anger from many of you since i have changed nothing in my actions since i was attacked on the matter.

You don't know what you're talking about, Captain. He was using a pirated license code (ie, he did not pay for Ares) to play Ares -- then when it didn't work with the new version, he posted about it, trying to get a serial number from someone here.

You can't re-register something you never paid for in the first place. You've got no right to be angry, as you are breaking the law by stealing, but then to bitch about it...?

For the record, my brother and I registered both EV and EVO and intend to register EVN. Mostly, it's because they do cool work and they deserve to earn money for doing it.
