OK, here is Voinian Mega-Fleet vs. Crescent Fighter Round 3. I see no one is commenting on my posts. Either you are all annoyed and bored with the same story, haven't paid attention to this topic, or don't have anything to post. Anyhow, here's round 3.
Ding Ding!
I jumped into the Kelmaon system, as I wanted to be closer to my target than Outpost Alpha. I landed, and got together any supplies I might need: Rations, a fresh supply of brandy, etc. I lifted off, and headed for the Emalgha system, for the third time. I jumped in, and found not 1, but 2 Voinian Cruisers already there! A brave Emalgha Warship captain was being brutally decimated by both sadistic Voinian captains. He blew up pretty quickly, bless his soul (not literally). The Voinian fleet jumped in. The usual 3 Frigates 1 Cruiser. Ofcourse, with the combination of the 2 other cruisers, I had to deal with 12 Voinian Heavy Fighters. I said, outloud actually "If I survive this, I will be amazed! Charge!!!" With that said, I met the stacked group of Heavy Fighters. I was also met with about 30 Rockets launched simultaneously. It's a scary sound. I began making circles, while dodging hail storms of rockets. I had a little difficulty with the fighters, but they mainly died out in a big group, I must've had the bottom fighter targeted. This made me also hit the others on top of him, thus disabling most of the group in one big clump. The others were sort of in an "escort" position, and died individually. After taking them out, I saw the Frigates had stacked for the most part, and I saw a lone dot on the radar, far from the big clump of Frigates. I knew this was one of the three Cruisers. I immediatly blasted over to him, and began circling. The whole fleet must've used their rockets, because I was met with Neutron fire only. I began to circle, fire, and dodge furiously. I knew if the clump were to reach me, I would have more trouble than needed. When I engaged him, I was around 70% armor. It was a boring dogfight. Firing, dodging, firing, return firing, dodging, and so on. When he became disabled, as usual, the clump had reached me. I was given the trouble I did not want, but all I had to do was blow the guy up. I blew him up, and headed for the next isolated dot. However, I now noticed a fourth Frigate had joined the crowd, this means new armor, new shields, and, new rockets. I ignored him for now, and was able to drag the Cruiser farther away from the clump, and away from the new Frigate. I repeated what I did to the first Cruiser, however the clump got to me quicker than the first time. Also, the new guy was there too. I had to do a few circles with the clump, and avoid rockets, before the Cruiser was disabled. After I blew him up, I headed for the third guy. By this time, I was semi-low on armor: 35 maybe 40%. I blasted towards the guy, and repeated. He must've been damaged a bit, because I blew him up just as the new guy got there. He was still a little isolated from the rest of the gang, and reached me first. After the third Cruiser explosion, I went for the rocket bearing Frigate. He gave me more trouble than the three Cruisers combined. I began my circling, but he knew how to use his Turreted Rockets. I was sensing Deja-Vou at this time. I took a hit, and my armor went down, I returned to circling, dodged some rockets, and then took another hit. This repeated itself MAYBE 2 more times. I then retreated a bit, because I was at 5% armor. I did some wide circles, to avoid risking the chance of a direct rocket hit, and to see how far away the clump was. They were still trailing behind, so I knew not to rush it. I recharged back up to 25% armor, and knew it was a major risk, but the clump, by now, was getting too close for comfort. I went back in, phasers red-hot. I was not hit with anymore rockets this time. Mainly because he only fired two more, and then stopped entirely. After that, it was the usual circling and dodging. After he blew up, I went after the clump. They had been somewhat split up from the second Cruiser fight, and I could go after them one-by-one, and not have too much trouble. Two were still close together, so I went after the semi-isolated third. He must've taken some damage, because he went out quicker than the previous Frigate. I was given no rocket trouble, and only took a few Neutron hits. Ofcourse, the two other Frigates caught up before the current died, but they had only Neutrons to fire at me, so it was no big deal. After the Frigate blew up, I pushed "R" and went after whoever it brought up. I began circling this Frigate, and doing the usual routine. I blew him up, and now knew for sure I could say I had this battle under my belt. When I engaged the last Frigate I was back on my feet at 65% armor or so. I did my stuff, for about 3 or 4 minutes, and then the red targeters turned gray. I did it. I was able to destroy 12 Heavy Fighters, 3 Cruisers, and 4 Frigates in a Crescent Fighter, without landing. I finished off the idiot, scanned around, found only Emalghions (ians?) and declared victory! I hailed Emalghia, told them the system was safe, asked to land, and was greeted by an officer saying, "Thank you human, we now declare you as a friend. You may have saved Emalghia this day." or something like that, and was given not even a million credits for my work. Not worth the battle. Also, I was only at "Good Egg" for all of that! Lousy Emalghians!
Now, I have shared 3 stories. Someone else want to go?
