    • What is the goal in EV Override???

      Hi.
      I have just started playing EV Override (I did not play Escape Velocity) and I just cannot find out what my ultimate goal is. I mean I am trading and making money - I was able to buy a new ship, etc. But what is the goal. Do I have to defend anybody? Or is it just trading, making money, fighting some renegade ships?

      Well, as you progress through EVO, you will be offered missions by many races. For example, if you choose to aid the UE in their struggle against the Voinians, than you will become involved in the UE campaign and recieve credits, outfits, and satisfaction along the way. If you aid the UE, you can't aid the Voinians. Then you can head off into unexplored alien space, or take up the fight against the Renegades. It's your choice. Good luck, Captain!

      You must go to certain spaceport bars to obtain 'mission string' missions which go on in a series of missions to develop the plot. There are a vast number of missions and depending on your choices, the face of the galaxy will be completely altered.

      There is no ultimate goal in EV or EVO. The main theme of the game is that it continues forever. However, there are a few different mission strings that are "Central Objectives", but overral, there is no ultimate objective.

      Well, in fact there are none ultimate objective. Some says it is to dominate all planets, others to accumulate the most money In this game you choose you way, becoming a fearsome renegade, a well-known mercenary, an ultra-fast courier captain The more important thing in this game is there is no "right" way to play and that you can make money a countless ways.

      I see Cap'n Doraemon is new here. If you havn't regestered EV:O, than do it fast! Or else the space parrot will get you--- don't wory, You'll soon figure who that is, right boys? 🙂 I also strongly suggest that you download the origianl EV. As the designated 'seniar' webboard member, I feel obliged to tell you some of the Weboard rules. Wich are: This is the Welch zone. Andrew Welch is KING GOD in this secter, if you make him mad, you make us mad. The Moderaters are the official 'policemen' for lack of other words.They hold great power and will yous it if they need to. You listen to the seiniar 'board members, then you might just survive. You cross us then- well you would not want to now. If you understand these rules than your on the right track, if you don't, go of scampering to the Ares boards. Other then that, welcome.

      Just play. This is the most fun, addictive game ever. It has a great plot. Hint: go north or east of UE space. There are the Miranu north, who are generally peaceful and offer a wide range of missions, outfits, and ships. That's all I'll tell you. To the west are, well, go find out...

      I think(or hope) that this guy know who the V******* are, if he's played the game for more than a few days. Once again, you would be much wrose off crossing the U***** E****, because you would be betraying the human race if you did (coughcoughLoneVoiniancoughcough). As for the S***** War, that's half the game! Why wouldn't you take a side?

      P.S. If this guy has any intelligence, he could figure out from you're name who the V******* are.

Captain DeBlazio, how are you a "senior" webboard member (aside from the fact that you have like 3x more posts than me)?       The S***** W** is more than half the game. The U***** E**** vs. V******* war isnt that big. The M***** offer a lot of good technology and missions, and of all the S****** I'd go with the A******. Also, get an A****, as it's the best ship in the game.
