While surfing on the webboard I noticed that Lonevoinian has that on his signature:

Obviously, Lonevoinian holds the erroraneous belief that the UE is governed by a dictatorship. Well, I'm here to say it's not! It's very obvious! The United Earth government is a democracy (presidential or parliamentary, that's debatable). It has a national legislature (The United Earth parliament) and there's free speech (as Admiral McPhearson states in the Free Huron missions, you can even advocate seceding from the UE and that's OK as long as you don't get violent) There is absolutely NO indication in EVO that the United Earth government is in ANY way a DICTATORSHIP!!!

I guess the referrence to the UE as a dictatorship just shows Lonevoinian's pro-Voinian bias. So if the United Earth is government is a dictatorship, does that mean the Voinian government is a democracy? If it is, why do we hear no mention of any Voinian legislature or anything like that?
Why, we all know how democratic, tolerant and benevolent the Voinians are! Just ask any Hinwar, Emalgha, or resident of Verril Prime! :rolleyes:

Lonevoinian, if you're going to attack the UE, you are entitled to do so ("U.E. Lovers Are Ignorant of True Power" is just an opinion). Just don't use lies.

Heh. Actually, you do (btw, precisely where in EVO is the UE referred to as an empire?). If you pay close attention to the UE strings (which I do, as my name suggests), you will notice that the UE has a President and a Congress just like a certain country we know. That was not communism, and the US isn't a democracy.
As far as UE politics are concerned, I think that the UE is a system much like the gov't of the US, but, if I recall correctly, is based in Paris.

Actually. the UE government, or at least the UE Parliament, does not have a single capital city- it moves around (When you establish contact b/w the Miranu & the UE, the UE Parliament meets in Lima, and when the UE and Emalgha ally, the UE Parliament is meeting in Lyons. Just a personal thought, it must be fun to be an ambassador to the UE- rather than just stay cooped up in one capital city, you get to see the world!

I have to admit the Voinians are sometimes much cooler than the UE, and that I really do like them, I usually side with the UE, unless I firmly decide otherwise.
