Also lets get abck to AI vs. AI. I know for sure that an Azzy fighter would get smoked >if it were controled by an AI.
That's because the Azzy's use the same AI is the Izzys (they think that they're warships, not light fighters), but they were meant to be used as fighters, not warships. If they had their own AI, and it worked well*, it would be a completely different story. They don't, however, so they get smeared all over a HC Izzy's windshield.
It would have to be really smart to work well. It would have to be able to retreat to recharge shields, use afterburner, dodge SAEs, and keep away from the front of the Izzy so they don't get hit by Dispy rockets. And while I'm at it, Each ship, should have a unique AI and com quotes. So lets assume you see ninty thousand ships in four hours of playing. The average comn quote is 40 letters long, and each ship has four of them, so ((4090,000)*4)/1000=megs of comn quotes...... ok, so it's a bad idea.

Bloody-Mindedness.If you want to conquer, a good idea is to get the Dominator plug, which gives each planet 32 ships that all appear at the same time, makeing the battle for any good planet nearly impossible. What I do is go to that planet just left of freeport, get a mine layer and plenty of mines, and go to a planet, any planet. get all the ships in the system away, and put mines on the planet, (3 for renged/UE, 5 for Voinia, 8 for Izzys is generally safe) fly to the edge of the screen, and demand tribute. The entire defence fleet comes out and POOF you have a conquored planet.

Now on the topic, I think the Azdgari Warship is better than the Igazra because it is faster and has 6 Azdaras, though it would be better if you could control the Azdaras

you can kind of control them. You tell them when to fight and who to target.
target a ship and hit X to have them attack it (useful if you want to kill a ship)
V makes them stop moveing/fireing (useful if you want to board a ship)
C makes them return to the formation (Not so useful)
Option+C makes them dock with you, if they're from a fighter bay. (not so useful)I have to use V before I tell them to attack a ship, because otherwise, they won't listen to me. Also, about half the time, when I take over a disabled ship or tell my fighters to re-dock, it frezes. Does anyone know why this is?

A note on RAM: If I have more than one window open when I start EVO, than when I quit tells me that it coulden't keep one of the windows open due to lack of memory.
Another note on RAM: it never freezes if I capture a smaller ship than my current one, weather I use it as my own, or keep it as an escort. I'm flying a UE carrier right now, and it's never frozen when I captured Voinian frigates for escorts (I have three frigates and eight UE fighters for escorts at the moment).
The Final Note on RAM: Sometimes, the game will pause for a frame about one a second, makeing the game seem jerky(sp)(not beef jerky; I mean that the game looks funny). This must also be due to lack of RAM
